Izzy yes you can but that is also why you want the blue conversion set as it gives you all of the toe blocks to change the parts.

The rear uprights are the 1d uprights which also have different link locations on the hub

Izzy, the TB02 comes with only 4 blocks, wich would be the same as the "A" block on the evos.

As for the Blue conversion kit, you get 4 "A" blocks, 1 "B" block, 1 "C" block, 1 "D" block, 1 Propeller shaft, 1 EVO3 heat Sink motor mount, 1 spur gear adapter, 1 front one-way housing (no drive cups), 2 servo mounts, 2 steering posts, 2 swing shafts (uni shaft not complete unit), 1 steering arm (left), and 1 steering arm (right)
19 total parts
there are 3 itmes that don;t work on the TB02. EVO3 heat Sink motor mount, 1 steering arm (left), and 1 steering arm (right).
the stering doesn't work do to interference with the tub reienforcements, the motor mount doesn't have any mounting for it in the tub. ALL other parts will fit on a tub car.

Super sonic.
The Tamiya America had them last week, so that meen that distributors sould be getting them, and shipping them out to the store very quickly. I beleive that the kit TA had was the mercedes 58310 I think.

I think it is indeed a good option to get the blue conversion kit. But I will try to get the EVO 3 limited instead so that I can get the parts plus the all important universal shafts. I won't have any use for those lightweight swing shaft if I don't have the uninversals right?

Yes, sheldons has them. Ist one they got and I bought it. I called the other lhs and non of them got it. It's the Mercedes body. Anyone knows what tires these are. Low profile and kinda sticky[24mm]. A's or B's?. Uses Ta04 arms, carriers. Not sure if the universals wil work too. They have 2 more I think.Got it at 10:30 this morning just when ups just dropped them off. Remember timing it right when the Associated RC10T first came out years ago.I was in the store when the first delivery came. We even had a waiting list that you sign up if you want one.

You must like sleep by your LHS's door (joke).
That would be cool if you got at least type A's. More than likely they are just rubber slicks. I think the Tb uses the 41 or 42mm universals use with the the TB evo 3 series and 414M2 series. The TA04's use a 39mm shaft.
Give us a report on building (pictures?) and if possible your initial impressions on handling.
Me and Hebiki will be getting our's soon with the Xanavi body.

The tires are a kit slick, atleast the ones in my skyline are.
Izzy I have pictures of mine, but it is with the blue conversion kit on it.
As for handling, out of the box it had a little push with the kit set-up, the tracktion was low on the surface I ran on, it was at Burien RC. The only change was a set of A tires soft inserts in the front, and hards in the rear. The changes that were mad was, lengthening the upper arms (camber links) and shock oil. The car was pretty good with those changes. I then went to sway bars, yellow all the way around and it got really pushy again.

How about shock position?Shock oil?Camber? What do you think is the potential of the kit competing againts the ta04r?

I was running against a 414m2. he was beating me, but I had geared it at a 5.0 he was a 5.3 I think the main difference was the puch he had out of the corner. he did a 45 lap and I was a 44. again it was a small track with sub 6 second laps. I also had a few more mis haps with slower traffic.
I think the car will be good as long as you can hit the gear ratio for the motor. We were racing silver cans.
In a nut shell only two packs for set up. It did very well, and he is a better driver. I think the car will hold it's own very well, I haven't tried a roar stock yet.
Oh I did change the shock position I started with the kit oil in the kit shocks, and moved to flourine coated with three hole pistons, 600 tamiya oil. That was about it
