His local reputation (he grew up where I once lived) was that he was a good down to earth lad. Which is good to know. But for me F1 is all about the personality on the track, and Hamilton reminds me of Stewart, Hunt and Senna and to a lesser extent Schumi who were all exceptional racers.

That's the great thing about him -- he's like a kid in a candy store. He could be raking in a ton more dough, moving more quickly to a top team, etc. but he's just so excited to be racing F1. Gotta love that passion.

how anyone can pull off the nice guy facade whilst being continually screwed for doing nothing is beyond me.

and has my respect.

hamilton is a good guy, if he tried the big shot attitude in england he would be shot down and without a job within hours, you have to remember different people do things differently, lewis is being the quaint brit, getting on with the job and even if the powers that be are screwing him year on year he's still head down doing the job, not talking himself up, the driving does the talking.

anyways, ive decided im doing my f103 in company colourssilver light blue and black but in the way tyrrel did the car its based on.

im soooo hoping it will be here sooon!!!!

I'm definately a fan of Hamilton, I haven't seen a grand prix driver for quite a while who'd rather crash out than finish second. I just love watching him carving through the field, throwing caution completely into the wind, Jamming the car into tiny gaps, Big dives under brakes! It's like the 80's/90's all over again.

I'm hoping more drivers start doing the same, F1 has been so boring since everyone started just staying out of trouble and making sure they finish.
I didn't realize what a great driver Vettel was until Monza, I hope that kid gets a drive in a more competitive car next year.

People laugh at me now when I say F1 is actually interesting again, But I haven't been this enthusiastic about F-1 since Senna,Prost,Mansell,Alesi and all those guys left the sport

If you look around in the ebay stores, and even under international ebay items you can still find late 90's 103 bodies. I picked up a 310B, and Mclaren to try out. I did see a 310, and some Lotus bodies on there too. For some reason some do not show up till you look under the heading "Ferrari", or "Williams", sometimes the part # too.

I've ordered from this person before. He's really good about getting the stuff shipped in a timely manner and responsive to inquiries. He has a good selection of Tamiya product too.

Yes, That is one of my favorite stores. He has by far the most diverse selection of 103 parts available. Tamiya, 3racing, Tobee craft, ect.... Best part is most of it comes by EMS 3-5 day shipping. I found some other Tamiya dealers on ebay, one of which has a Kyosho Jordon in stock....Still deciding on that one. Also for those wanting something really exotic, I ordered a Tyrrell p34 from a place in Canada...Advance hobbies. I cant wait to see how it drives....its kind of my ugly duckling of my growing fleet.

d-drivesportsenglish.com They deals strictly with F103 parts. I got some nice alloy turnbuckes and Motor Mount Plates from them. great stuff.

On another note, I just got down to practicing with my F103. It handels nicely, but it's really loose around the corners. Any suggestions on dealing with that?

We run a class of F1s at the track I go to.

But.. Tamiya is out of F1s up here.

Anyone have one they want to part with? an RM? either with a nice body, or if its nasty looking then a good deal?

I am going to make it look good.. its all about the bling!

I have one, lots of hopups , some Tamiya, some aftermarket. I also have another one that is in pieces at the moment but could be put together pretty quick, it will be pretty much stock.
I will post pics shortly
