i talked to someone from tekin and he told me to work with the timing boost and watch the motor temps and to drop a couple of teeth on the pinion. a guy at my track said he knows a good 1/12 setup which was leave the timing @ normal and turn up the turbo so i don't loose torque in the infield, remember this is on a 17.5 with single cell lipo. my car seem to be fast, but if i can get a better setup id love it. any other advice ?

I like DUO better. If you need a good setup for a 13.5 DUO, pm me .

Hey, I must have bought products from your company - do you make software for iPod shuffles, 2006 Nokia cell phones and anything sold under a Microsoft label? Those things were sure reliable products rushed out to spike the competition!

Take your time TEKIN, and give us the QUALITY products we have come to expect . I guess my ESC's are just more patient than others when it comes to FREE upgrades.

Jimmy
Well said! And, let's remember, there are probably only a couple of them doing all the work. I don't understand the rush - my car's not fast because of what happens between my ears, not what happens between the input and output leads of my speedo. And it's FREE!!

No I'm not a team driver. I'm just a driver that loves RC racing and loves to race.

When I started with RC racing, people helped me and when I got my Tekin speedo and having some problems with it. Other Tekin drivers helped me.
I got help from Kenny, Randy and other drivers.
Tekin helped me very good so that's why I'm helping other drivers.
I have never got such a good service as I got from Tekin.

The more help, the better. I agree with the customer service. I just had a nice conversation with Chris at Tekin today. He shared some helpful insight to setup that should work out well at the track for me. I'm positive that the new software will be worth the wait..... it always is.

Maybe if you don't know what you are doing. I sometimes wonder if Tekin maybe couldn't find a better programmer?? Compiling for 64 bit is trivial and following UI standards should be a given. Neither of which they seem to have been able to do. I could write the logic to save a profile in an hour. The UI portion of HotWire should not be rocket science. I imagine the calculations to adjust timing and getting that on the firmware could be somewhat complex but the rest of it? Please...

We will release the software when we're happy with it. There is no sense in releasing it any other way.

Somethings do take longer than others, some don't. I suppose if it was so easy to make 64 bit work so well EVERYONE would be doing it. So far most aftermarket software that I've been looking at(xmas shopping) is not 64 bit compatible.

Microsoft has been no help and admits to 64bit having issues on it's won.

Bottom line, we will release it when it's ready, no sooner. Have patience, we've not let you down yet.

One guy here was able to have his friend come up with an executable file to work on a 64-bit platform. It's a few pages back.

It didn't work, we looked at it.

Looks like we've got 64bit working now. We need test some more systems and work on the the rest of it...it's close.
