Guys, where you can get a E4JS (the cheaper version) ?, and which differences are with the ultimate one ? ... this is meant for rubber based racing mainly, as a low budget start,

thanks,

Need pinion size ?

Will be running a 503002-C1 - 1/10 E4FS/C1 Rubber Tire Spec Electric Touring Car. It's the E4FS Rubber Conversion with (convertable) front 1 way option.

I plan on running it on a large outdoor asphalt track.

Also will have the following setup on the car:

- Mamba Max speed
- Trinity Duo 10.5 BL motor
- Orion 4800 Lipo
- 110T spur 64 pitch
- Internal ratio is 2.0588
- Tires are Jaco greens (Rubberz)

My question is what size of pinion do I need for a 10.5 BL (19T) motor using a 110T 64 pitch spur gear ?

Thanks

you will have to change to atleast a 96t spur gear to be in the FDR ratio for the 10.5, you need to be in the low 5's or high 4's:nod:

Hey Marcus.J

I was thinking of getting the similar car from Wolf Hobbies. The E4 FS/C1. I plan on running the car on rubber both indoor AND outdoor. What do you think? Do you think this is the right car for what I want to do?

Thanks man.

I guess that means a 19T pinion should do the trick. Where do you find the FDR for a 10.5 BL motor ?

Canuck 03-27-2008 08:55 AM

Shoot, I can't find a 96T spur gear on Wolf Hobbies site.

Oops ! More like a 40T pinion.

96/40=2.4 x 2.0588= 4.94112

Right ?

Canuck 03-28-2008 05:44 AM

Does anyone know if 48 pitch spur and pinion will fit on the E4 FS ?

Marcos, if I go this route, any recommendations for me instead of the 96T spur (64 pitch) ?

Thanks

i ran 48 pitch on my car i ran a 74t spur and a 33 pinion for a 4.76 FDR.

Thanks Marcos, exactly what I was looking for.

no problem , the car has limited room to move the motor around so your best bet is to get a few different spur sizes and pinions, this way you shouldnt have any issues getting the FDR that you need.

Hi there...yes, I've run the FS converted to RS by Wolf...works great on asphalt. Good flex and crisp sharp handling with a good enough set up. Get it and run it!!!

For 10.5 BL, a 48P 72T Spur works great. Lower than this, will not let you mesh...its 64P equivalent is 96T.

Get Kimbrough Spur gears or PRS....tower Hobbies, Stormer Hobbies, or NexusRacing.net

i did practice for Korea national race (will be beld after 2 weeks)

the modified class must use 5 cells.

i tested LRP 3.5T(4 timing).. But.. i want to get a little punch.

i am considering to buy New Speed Passion 2 BL 3.5 motor.

could it give more punch?

The SP 3.5 is very good!! also you might want to try the SP 2.5 with 5 cells (its a missile!!!)

My LRP TC ESC does not support 2.5T.. only above 3.0T.

and.. maybe.. 2.5T had runtime problem.

i am considering 3.0T or 3.5T..

if 3.0T has sufficient runtime(above 5 minutes), i will buy it!!

with 5 cells you wont have a problem with it :) also with 4600 batteries , runtime shouldnt be an issue:)

Great showing this weekend for the E4 in the UK

This weekend was the first round of the STCC (Southern Touring Car Championship) in the UK. The first big meeting with over 100 drivers to kick off the summer series.

The meeting was the first outing for my E4RS and it out performed all my expectactions and TQ'd and won the 27T/13.5BL class!
A great showing for the E4 with at least 3 cars in the A-final.

No issues with the car at all, no breakages all weekend.
I'm now hooked on the car and will be continueing with it throughout the 2008 season.

I'll recommend the E4 to anyone, a great car !!

I'll try and post my setup from the weekend in a couple of days.

We are happy to announce that we are forming the Wolf Hobbies / Team Magic Race Team. Our sponsor program will be providing, discounts, perks and compensation on par with any other manufacturer with teams in the USA. In addition, we are offering other compensation opportunities that the other manufactures do not offer. Our goal is to have solid representation at all of the ROAR National and Regional events. We are looking for friendly, motivated and talented individuals with an overwhelming competitive spirit to showcase our cars and be Ambassadors at large for Wolf Hobbies and Team Magic.
We are looking for electric and nitro drivers. If you are interested and feel you have the qualifications to be a sponsored driver, please send us the following;
1 Current resume with race results (even if you sent us one already).
2 A short note on why we need you on our team and what you will contribute.
3 A list of ROAR and local events you will be participating in.
4 A photo of your car with and without body (even if it is not a TM car)
5 A photo of yourself. (This has NO bearing on the decision process. But it will
be posted on the web site if you are selected and choose to join us).
6 Name and contact info for your home track.
The compensation package is confidential and will only be shared with those that are invited to join. Please send your application to [email protected]

Thank you

Wolf

Shame it does not apply to the UK.

zacabrandy 04-04-2008 03:50 AM

Recieved my E4 today from Wolf Hobbies. Must say it looks like a quality kit. Unfortunately it took longer than expected due to our Aussie Customs being very thorough, but it's here now and looks great.

I purchased the E4FS/C1, The only issue i have is.... can anyone tell me where I would find the little pin to lock the convertable 1 way that comes with it. I cannot find it anywhere. It must be there somewhere as i purchased 3 kits and I cannot find it anywhere in any of them.

Cheers
Aaron

Is there a distributor yet in the UK?

Are the guys getting and running the E4 in the UK getting thire kits from abroad at the moment?

Just wondering cause I'm considering moving the family back to England to live.

I see on the Demon Products site they seem to have the car covered completely with spares and what not.
I think CML are TM agents here in the UK also.

luic 04-04-2008 08:12 AM

Good job, Wolf hobbies. Here in Spain the new distributor, is make the same, and now iīm a Official TM Driver, he help me a lot of, with spares. cars,... very good job, from Team Magic, too.

In other hand, i have a TM E4 and E4RS, i wait for a E4FS, i work in the setup a lot of time, but my car not work at 100%, i tested some parts, mixed parts,etc... but always, the car good excelent in Mid/high grip, but in Mid/low has more understeer, some times work well, but in extremes setups, Stabilizer rear 1.4, front 1.2, more hard rear springs, rc high, but in this cases the rear is a litle imprecise, and donīt have suficient grip, for a comfortable driving, i need some help, this weekend i like to tests some things, for a 1rd Nationals in the next week.
I race in Modified,5 cells, control tyre Sorex 36.

Thanks in advance, Luis C.

Stabilizer bars

Carlos, what do you have for stabilizer bar setup ?

Marcos.J 04-04-2008 09:39 AM

I used the stock rear swaybar and for the front i took a old HPI sway bar and cut it to the same lenghts as the E4 swaybars.
