Barry... Your setups from Vegas would be much appreciated. Thanks

The set up that I posted above worked very well, I was able to hit the fastest laps in the 13.5 class today, the car carried alot of corner speed. finished 2nd in the a main (due to lap traffic:eek:)but finished 1st for the points series;)

hi, a lot of info from this thread... am only at pg28.

can hacker BL motor fit into the E4 without mod?

anyone tried to custom order the E4 RS with a one-way instead of spool? i know Wolf hobbies is able to customize E4 orders in the US but I am ordering outside of US. And nope, ordering from US is wayyy too expensive in terms of shipping.

perhaps TM can include the 'multi-diff' in the E4RS just like what they have in the original E4...

The Hacker motor will fit , you may just have to shave some material of the side mount to allow more movement for the brushless motor. Also you can order just the multidiff by itself if you want the oneway for the RS. You cant go wrong with one of the Wolf conversions.

Hey... does the Wolf Hobbies Team Magic 1/10 E4FS/CS Rubber Tire Spec Electric Touring Car come pretty well assembled (like my E4JS did) or is it a kit requiring complete assembly? Thanks.

Yes, they all come almost pre-assembled, like the E4JS:nod:

mine came from Wolf about 90% built, i had to finish and mount the shocks and install the front bumper and that was all . I had it ready for the track in less than 1 hour.

slakr 09-08-2008 10:58 AM

Thank you both for the quick response.

I really like my TM E4JS that I am running in 17.5 on Asphalt right now.

I also run a T2R in VTA. Shortly we will be moving indoors for 17.5 Rubber Tire Carpet and a VTA class as well. :tire:

I am just trying to decide to either pick up another E4JS for VTA, or pick up the E4FS/CS to use in 17.5 and change over my current E4JS for VTA. Either way the trusty old T2R gets retired... just trying to simplify stocking spare parts. :sneaky:

Definitely use the JS for carpet VTA....use the RS/FS for the faster class (stock, 17.5 or 22.5 with lipo...)

pls correct me if im wrong, the E4 RS mounts the servo using double sided tape?? thats my understanding based on the exploded diagram. Is the alu servo mount necessary then?

There is no servo saver included in the E4 RS also right?

Seems like E4 has all the goodies vs the RS. Any other parts that the ori E4 has over the RS that was not mentioned explicitly?

Thanks.

i dont believe that they come with a servo mount but you can use almost any servo mount out there if you like, on my I used the servo mounts from the BMI12R and it worked great. Ive seen others used the servo mouns from the TC5.

what is a good combo for pinion and spur for the E4RS due to the space constraint? can it fit a 83/32?

I am running a 11.5 with FDR ~5.3-5.5.

Marcos J, thanks for answering my questions so far

I m guessing you are using 48 pitch try a 75/29 for a 5.3fdr and 75/29 for s 5.5 fdr, you should have plenty of space with that spur. the 83 and 85 i use in mod.

The E4 RS has
-lightweight front and rear bulkhead upper mount (P/N: 503196 & 503224)
-lightweight Rear Front Hinge Pin Mount (503218).
What are these made off? ABS?

Will these 'lightweight' parts affect the RS performance since they look important parts?

Thanks in advance

They will not hurt the performance at all.

Hey Marcos,

You ordered from RC Manufactory before? How is their service?

STLNLST 09-15-2008 08:22 PM

LexTyler paints could hook you up with a paint scheme....:smile::smile: Good luck at the race.
