I think I can explain. You see here gentlemen, it was not the bearings, it was the exhaust itself!

This should sum it all up for ya! ;)

Ford Anglia M05. Duck tape on front only to protected from hard hits.
Tamiya Mini’s seem to be getting more popular in the UK.

Instead of duct tape i have used shoo glue on the inside. It hardens up the usual weak areas.. pretty effective.

It's been over a year seen I left the rc scene, I want to get back into racing.. I have an mo3r and i am wondering if the mo5 is a better choice? I will be running both asphalt and carpet. Also what tires and inserts work best on asphalt? Any help would be great

I currently run an M03R and dont see any mayjor advantage an M05 has.
There has been agood mix running at the Asphalt Assault and currently points are M03,M05,M03. I have heard the M05 is a little easier to drive.

heres a great site for Minis Lots of info

+1 Your M-03 will be competitive so there's absolutely no reason to go out and spend money on the M-05

yes. They do some great old time bodies and cheap. Have to cut rear wheel aches, but fit Tam mini short W/B 210mm.
Just nice to see something different going around the track and stands out from the jelly moulds.
Haven’t put link because didn’t know if I’m allowed to.
They have a great mk 1 VW golf GTI body and Morris minor. First saw them on RC-mini.net site.
I think one of our clubs in UK is going to run only pre 1970 bodies.
Wish Tamiya would do them?
;)

I run M03's in fact I have three M03, M03M and M03R and I run just fine with the M05. I beat M05's easily because it comes down to tuning and driver. I use 55 high grip slicks in the front and 55 medium radial tires in the back for asphalt this set up works very well for me. On carpet use foam tires. :batman:

Here in Aliso Viejo at the Tamiya track we just finished running the 6 hour Enduro and with the Peak 4000 30C teams were going for 30 minutes before changing batteries, and no suggnificant power drop off!
Just my 2$

Does anybody have a use for a brand new 380 type brushless 2400KV motor. If so I'm willing to trade it for a brushless ESC. P.M.me if interested.
