After a bunch of work we finally got Golddusts and my Mini dialed in
So we're now ready for the TCS at Jackson as well as the Mini Maddness there too!!!
Just need more practice making laps on the track to really be ready to have fun!!!

mini madness :D

i hope i can swing that race - was fun the last one I made

i think i finally got my mini all straightened out - had issues with my speedo the last time i ran it. so i replaced the sensor wire (no luck), different motor (no dice), so finally i scrapped the tekin I had in there and threw in a hobbywing - all good now

can't wait until the 31st

Looking for one of the Tamiya cooper S bodies, seems they are discontinued and I haven't found any hobby shops in the states that have them. Anybody out there know of a hobby shop that might have one or is there an alternative body I should try?

anyone have experience or have a M01/02?

I bought a M02M then turned it into a M01(fwd) so the steering rod is not long enough and I want to change the steering rod into the ones used on m05 (turnbuckle style)

but the original ball connector is a small 4mm ball end with a 2mm thread. a 5mm ball end has a 3mm thread and the steering bridge might be too small for it.

any remedy for this?

I run the Tamiya hopup steering linkage on my M01. Check out my albums page. I modded the bell crank to achieve better torque.

50795 discontinued? This seems like an odd step to take.
For me at least that shape sold the chassis. Mini racing isn't going to feel the same if there's no Mini Cooper.

Thanks for checking TQ site, but the part numbers I want are sold out (#84364 or #51489). Hopefully someone out there has one hanging around at their local hobby shop.

I just built my first mini kit and had wanted either of the two bodies you listed. I also was disappointed that they were both discontinued. I went with the heavy duty #84341 just to get a mini body. I'll keep my eye out for a lighter weight more race oriented mini body in the mean time.

Tamiya #51489 is indeed discontinued, ...I brought this up about a month or two ago and about 6 pages or so back. No one responded. ....but I felt and still feel like this was a pretty big move, not one I am sure I agree w/. I loved the JCW body, I've been running it exclusively for the past 3 seasons. Nearly everyone at my club runs this body.

I picked up 2 on eBAy as soon as I heard they were discontinued. This was a few months ago. ...but my question is, can you run a discontinued body in a TCS event? What about at the club level? ...
...any way, everyone at my club seems to still run the JCW, so glad I picked a few up ...i plan to run them for at least another year or until told I can't.
