Also new cooper S is really nice. I love its roof-wing especially.
But I wish they refresh old mini soon with new uprights and black molded chassis. It became really old old mini kit. Wide-rims are making your Mini truly cool. thanks for uploading, Mr. mep. |

I have received mixed feedback about topcad shocks. One of the local racers here seems to like them, but another says they are junk. Personally, I would stick with Tamiya or Tech racing on aluminum dampers... top quality for a critical component of the chassis.
Thanks Grahoo... I've admired the quality of your work for a long time my friend. Tamiya will release special aluminum damper for M-chassis on Feb. as you know. Its cylinder is 2mm shorter than ordinary TRF's, maybe. ;) |
Ok thanks mep, the CVA shocks are probally the pick then.
what are people thoughts on tires for outdoor ashpalt, how do the RP, Spice, & tamiya type A 60d's compare. |

I think type-A takes average grip at every temperature but both RP and Spice will show more performance than type-A if they are used at right condition, maybe. I like type-A but always I think 60Ds are too big for old Mini.:deathstar then, can you see attached Analog Drawing? Please try this way if your Mini needs more lowered. |
DO YOU APPLY THESE ON TRF SHOCKS ALSO?

Mr. Deven White's Mini is one of them. I had a little conversation with Mr. White by my broken English at Shizuoka but I forgot to take his car's pics. Have a nice race at Yokohama. Good luck!;) I think there are some Mini rally events, Tamiya Mini Rally too. but I have no information yet about them. There are no Mini classes at both On and Off Tamiya new year race. so I will not go to Shizuoka this month. I will go to Osaka on Feb., maybe. Do you know there are Tamiya's Mini cooper one-make race at there? |

Nothing new to say guys - Just needed to get us back onto the front page again!

hi Mini gurus,
are there any news that Tamiya will release a new M chassis? or M03 will be here to stay for quite some time? |
I don't think Tamiya has any new FWD or RWD mini's in plans yet.
But in the mean time why don't you hack one up? I got my inspiration from the mini post and decided to make my own homebrew 4WD mini. I will post up pics of it soon, but you can see what the guys here on the mini forum did. Here is the Link: http://rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=20068&page=60 scroll down and you will see what Nova F1 racer did. I would like to thank him for providing the building tips and my buddy Chris for helping me cut the chassis and shafts for "Franken-Mini". I built this homebrew 4wd mini for less than $150.00 Canadian. I bought a brand new TL-01 kit on ebay, with the following TL-01 upgrades (Bearings, Speed Tuned Gear set, Carbon Shaft, and the Hollow Carbon Shafts for the Gear case and GPM mini universals). I would recommend the RSX TL-01 Kit because it comes with the optional TL-01 long suspension kit. You can use it to make wider mini for stability. I then used my spare mini parts put it all together. Tip: if you plan to build one, decide which mini wheel base you would like to use. I built mine to match the wheel base of the M0-03L for stability. I had Franken-Mini running at our local club race this weekend and had a blast. I slapped in a 19T motor in it and geared it to the moon, and put on some used foam tires for traction. WOW!!! all I can say FAST down the straights. My buddy even manage to have it do a wheelie..... Finally had to gear it down, and it actually drove really well. Still need to fine tune the set up. So if any of you mini gurus are bored during the winter months, I'd say try this project on for size. It is very simple to build. The cool thing about this project, all the parts are easy to find, and they are all Tamiya parts (besides the GPM universals). I will post up pics of my homebrew 4wd mini. Will |
Bro, now I know the main reason why you still WAITING
