Nice wheels MEP. Must try them out on my Mini, looks like they fill out the wheel arches well.
|
MEP, those tyres are awesome...is it can be use on racing?
|
Thanks guys. Keep in mind that these wheels have a 4mm offset, so they may rub the fenders slightly with standard wheel hubs installed. They are also not TCS legal of course... but we dont run Tamiya rules in GT-M, any m-chassis compatible parts are legal in our series.
Here's a picture the narrower TB-02 hubs that I'm running on this car, next to the standard M03 hubs: http://carpron.com/multisite/d/185007-1/HPIM2022.JPG Square offers these wheels in a 0mm standard offset also: http://carpron.com/multisite/d/185011-1/HPIM2025.JPG http://carpron.com/multisite/d/185009-1/HPIM2023.JPG

More pictures... !
Here's another shot of some different Square 4mm offset wheels, with standard hubs & the old-style '02 model BMW Cooper. This one didn't sit quite as low as my Cooper S does... http://carpron.com/multisite/d/173661-2/DSC00470.jpg http://carpron.com/multisite/d/173670-2/DSC00475.jpg http://carpron.com/multisite/d/173679-1/HPIM0997.jpg That was to be my '08 asphault racer, until the new Cooper S came out... had to be different. These cars are so addictive! |

Mitch, this is your doctor speaking..there's something wrong here.
Your'e spending too much time playing with minis...or not enough time playing with minis. One or the other..... (p.s.) like I can talk about spending too much time on minis! |
mep - I understand now why racers get so much enjoyment from racing Minis. I just completed my first MO3L and I must admit that it is one of the most fun cars I have ever driven. I really enjoyed your pictures of the Cooper S. Do you know if Tamiya has released the Cooper S body kit yet and where I can get one?
Thanks, Pete |
Hey Pete- Check with www.towerhobbies.com I think I seen it there.
|
The Mini S is pretty cool looking!
|
Pete, here's the body set info, tower will probably have it available soon...
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/rcp...s&kit_id=58400 Thanks for the diagnosis Tony, but you're too late I'm already hooked :( Next on my wish list is that killer ABC 510... cant wait to build the replica of my old car. |
mep,
Thanks for the photos of your mini. I like those square wheels on your ride - offset looks great. I'll have to pickup a set of those this week. :) |

Black chassis and Bearings for the axles only,so you need the ones for the gear box.
On a different note Tamiya is doing this promo with Suzuki, Its a Swift but a little different as it uses the TT-01 Chassis. IT ties in with the 4WD Swift that Suzuki makes these days. Do you wanna change your car to get that TT01 now?:D Also new cooper S is really nice. I love its roof-wing especially. But I wish they refresh old mini soon with new uprights and black molded chassis. It became really old old mini kit. Wide-rims are making your Mini truly cool. thanks for uploading, Mr. mep. |
Welcome Grahoo!
For those who don't know, it was Grahoo's webpage which inspired us to first try rally mini. Grahoo is a Japanese Mini legend! |
