tamiyarcracer 02-11-2007 10:08 PM

does anyone know where to find the Spice inserts?

tony gray 02-11-2007 10:19 PM

rcmart have the spice inserts spice

and also the Colt 911 GT1 shells 911GT1

But Monster Mini shells are always hard to find. R10 is our usual source but they're out at the moment

Thanks, I'll try that. DO you have the p/n for HPI mini X-pattern ?

I’ve haven’t had much fun in many races, last Saturday got the fastest lap on the A main tanks to your GREAT TIPS, tank you very much to all of you in this great forum :tire:
Muahdib4, Customworksking, Akuhon, Axle182, etc.............
Unfortunately had a crash and lost power on lap 30 and had to reset the ESC but the car was great.

I made the 4 shims on the diff: from best lap with stock diff 17.919 to 17.432 almost ½ second faster. Tanks Customworksking.
Lowered ride height Front to 6mm and rear 6.5 but the car was still turning over entering fast turns, the car can be lowered more?
Mounted RP tires 36´s all around with hard inserts
Our club rules only allow original dampers (friction ones) so I couldn’t change springs, what we do is fill them with grease, any help with Friction Dampers?

And the best of all, the guy I was talking about lapping us like crazy won by4 laps, BUT he didn’t pass the tech inspection, he was using ball diff and other hop ups not allowed in our club HE WAS CHEATING.

Tanks

Glad to hear that ....

As for Friction Damper Height, you can use o-ring or plastic spacer, but you have to cut more the black rubber tube to lower the height (measure the plastic spacer you use, the number you see is the one you have to cut on the rubber tubing). Use soap and sharp knife / cutter to make precise cut .... Usually I use some oil (just a little drop) to weaken the rubber tube a bit to make better damping action. My setting usually more weak rubber on the rear than on the front. But frankly, it needs some experience to make it perfect. 4mm is the max for smooth asphalt, other conditions should be fine between 4 - 5mm height. Lower front than the rear ...

Good luck and hope you get better lap times...

Cheers,

when we started 45o F by the Mains 75o F I`ve used them on high 80o`s and no heating issues

Another question is there a Tamiya replacement part for the Tubes inside the friction dampers?
