Not to stir the pot, but personally I think the manual is ok on steering geometry versus having link 90 deg to servo because the link is not 90 deg on the steering upright.
Manual seems symmetric and looks better. 3rd place car at the Tamiya worlds a few years ago.

Mine is actually at 90deg to servo horn link primarily because that is where my radio trim is at perfect 0, and I do not want to have +30 on the trim just to get the servo to the above position (as it starts to have a weird effect on the epa of the servo).

I personally like to center everything so mine are all at 90 degrees, but if your servo has enough throw to give you full lock on both L and R sides, I agree that it's really up to you if you want to center the servo or not.

Thing is the link is not 90 deg on the steering bellcrank side. Maybe someone has the inclination to test with a protractor on both ideas and see which one is better.
i.e. a 30 deg movement left right on servo = 30 deg movement left right on steering bellcrank
For me, with link 90 deg to servo horn, my epa is L=100% and R=108% to turn same circle diameter left and right. Maybe it's my servo, maybe the geometry, need to steal my daughter's protractor.

I may start out with even 100/100 EPA, but based on my car's asymetrical weight distribution (m-chassis) my EPA usually end up less on one side per driving characteristic to compensate.

We could combine a few things and I could draw crude pictures of the parts I broke on my Xevo a few weeks back. Or, I could just draw crude pictures.
Where are the weaknesses in the Xevo's chassis? Pictures with red circles might be easier to understand..
