Tamiya mini cooper
I know when I get my M-05 I will have to race it stock. But what if I just want to take it to the track and have fun? What is a fast but safe motor for the drivetrain...brushless...13.5, 10.5?

Hobbywing Ezrun 13t. Great combo.
Alloy Batt Mounts
If you fit the optional Tamiya alloy battery holders and tape the battery onto these, you will have no problems with the corally connector batteries.

Did the 90 degree wiring thing. The m05 alloy battery holders don't fit the m03 so well and like I mentioned, when you race at my club, you need some armor.

In fact , it will even cope with a 4T. There is no real stress on the gears, it just wheelspins .
the drivetrain will cope, the mini wont. It will get to to really high speed at the end of the straight & you wont be able to cope with the cornering speed. Just too fast for a little car .
Lots of wheel spin, dont expect tyres to last . Dogbones & outdrives will wear quicker as well.
Just for fun: put TL01 suspension arms on it. Or TL01b baja arms. Both a direct fit(but need the longer steering links)
A question for the mini gurus; The Alpine 110 is listed as a 210mm short wheelbase body, but it used to come on the M02M (assuming 225mm mid wheelbase) is this the same mold? Is the new version shorter?

Yet another new shell from Spice.
The original 'old school' Toyota MR2 this time, in SWB 210mm configuration.

I don't know about you Tony, but I think Spice has come out with some pretty ugly bodies lately. If I were to get a 1st gen MR2 it would be the ABC Hobby one.

Tamiya's site said the original Alpine was a M02 M-chassis. Not sure it was a 225mm M02M.

I know you guys are hardcore FWD fans, but this is too cool to pass up...

It's a Xevo Chariot that some guy converted to rear drive. Doesn't look that complicated, but battery room goes to hell, unless you want to go sideways with it.

Plan on doing this to your Xevo? I think you can try and fit a shorty pack.

It'd be like my dream M-04! I'm going to the work bench now. Did I mention I got a new drill? Wheeee!
