Bullwinkle, you won't recognize our track next time you come. TONS of new additions and improvements. Mike has invested thousands in a new scoring booth with A/C, new speaker system, monitors, flat screens, etc. I know where i will be ALL summer!!

Fellow vta drivers....am i the only one running a hpi sprint2 in this class??? i had so much fun running this class that i want to race it more...please if anyone has a setup for the car let me know....im having trouble wit the rear being loose off throttle in turns...all help accepted...thanks..

Fellow vta drivers....am i the only one running a hpi sprint2 in this class??? i had so much fun running this class that i want to race it more...please if anyone has a setup for the car let me know....im having trouble wit the rear being loose off throttle in turns...all help accepted...thanks..
Less rear droop (down to ~1 mm of up-travel min)
Move front and rear arms back
Move any static weight you have towards the front
Less front camber
More rear camber (up to ~2.5* max)
More rear toe in (up to ~3.0* max)
Sauce less of the front tires
Also be sure your tires are cleaned after coming off the track each time. They can glaze over causing a radical loss of traction. Of course also be on the look out for broken/bent/mal-adjusted components of the car. A seized bearing can make a car do what you're describing as well.

Move any static weight you have towards the frontThe S2S is very rear heavy. I would start with 3 weights under the front diff and place the rest down the center line of the chassis between the steering post and the battery
Less front camber
More rear camber (up to ~2.5* max)
More rear toe in (up to ~3.0* max)

Also The oils in your shocks may be too soft as too much weight is transfered to the front off power. If you have drag brake on that kind of thing
To test just slow down before the corner and using throttle ( not full) enter the corner and slowly accelerate if it holds the rear then you have way too much rear weight. also we have found that a technical track likes weight
Some of the older cars like to be run at up to 1650g but most of that weight is forward and as low as possible. For my TC4 I actually put about 60g in the front bumper just on the bumper mount where I ground out some of the bumper material and put it in there.
Also of your rear diff is sticking at all that can cause it as well. we run our front diffs tight and the rear ones as loose and free as possible but with no slipping.
what we find is the inside rear tire will lift on hard corners and deceleration and that will let the diff spool off the excess so the outside tire does not spin or slip.

Does anybody on this forum know somebody who works for HPI Racing? I would like to ship this 1972 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird to HPI Racing so that they could make a Lexan body of it for VTA enthusiasts all around the world.
