A 56 pinion? That's huge, where would one acquire such large pinions? Are you talking 48p or 64p? I'd prefer to stick with 48p just because I have every size from 12 to 35, but I'm not even close to hitting that ratio, is there enough adjustability in the motor mount to use 48p with a much smaller spur? Like a 52 spur, and a 30 pinion, that would put me at roughly the same ratio.
yep the people in the hobby shop will give you strange looks when asking for that size pinion for sure...look at some of the on-line stores, I saw trinity has some bigger pinions.

Robinson Racing is another source for large pinions. You can order direct or try www.rc4less.com and Tower Hobbies.

I am running F/R ball diffs.I only mentioned that I am using the CF chassis because the are stiffer than the plastic chassis. The CF shock towers have the same mounting holes as the plastic parts do. So the mounting points will be the same.

They are 64P gears, I think I have managed to get a 100S/58P to fit. I switched to 64P so anything that I say about 48p would be a wild guess.

Hang on to the front one way, but dont put it in unless you know that its ok. In some places its not allowed. Maybe not even National rule set. And in most cases its not even any help. If you have a spool throw it up front and keep a nice smooth ball diff in the rear.

Thanks for all the tips guys. I was planning on just running the stock gear diff up front for now, does anybody know if you can run those diff springs in the Sprint 2 diffs like some of HPI's other diffs? I have a bunch of those springs laying around so I figured I would at least get a feel for the stock diff before I replace it with something else.

Good tip on the front one way though, I never thought to ask the track about that.

I checked Tower for the "worlds largest pinion gears" lol, but they didn't have much above 40t. Luckily I found them on A Main, so I have some on order now.
I should be good to go now, just waiting for some brown boxes to land on my portch.
Thanks for the info!

Not knowing what springs or oil your running. Couple things you could do to get more steering softer springs , take the sway bar off should get you heading in the right direction

Are those AE springs? If so, that's way too heavy. Go with green/silver/blue front and rear. That should get you in the right direction.
