Question for you guys. Just picked up a cheap TT01 for my son to start racing USVTA.
It already had bearing and alum shaft. Anything else you think will be needed?
Keep in mind he's only 6, so I'm kind of thinking that it's good enough.
I guess I need advice, never tried to teach someone this young to drive.
It has diffs in both ends, not sure if I should start him with a one way.

Working on getting an RDX to run Vintage with. Any real difference in the handling of the allowed bodies? Raced my dad's RDX with a Camaro body this past weekend it and was pretty dialed and fast, for a Vintage car. I'm guessing that these things just dont generate the speeds where the downforce, or lack thereof, from these bodies matters much, if the carpet traction is good.

When my youngest first started, at age 4, I taped a piece of foam rubber onto his radio so he couldn't mash the trigger very fast, or to full throttle. This helped immensely. We kept it on for about a month of racing once a week.

The deal for the RDX fell through, someone else sent the seller the money while I was waiting for a PM reply. Dunno if I'll put together a vintage car now or not. Have to find a cheap used quality TC, or commit to buying a cheap new TC like the Cyclone S, and hope it holds up. And preferably sell of either my Slash or RC18T to help pay for a new TC setup.
