This happened with mine when I put the square uprights on too, check you have the flanged tubes around the right way as the top and bottom ones are different sizes. The manual also says not to completely tighten the screws.

About four months ago, I recently switched over to lipo since my old GPs really started to give out. With the GP3900 6 cell, my TA05R + Novak 13.5SS was quick and easily controllable; the change to lipo made it somewhat erratic on asphalt whereas my TA05MS also with a 13.5SS really came to life. I thought that I'd be able to tune the TA05R to regain it's old "personality", but I've tried countless different things to no avail. Even adding ballast to make the lipo weigh as much as the GP3900 made very little difference. I came to the conclusion for my own taste, the lipo gives too much punch (probably due to the smoother discharge curve) for the TA05R.

After researching on the forum that lipo fitment isn't a problem with the 416, I finally decided to pick one up as a replacement car. It's nice to come home from work and then find that the brown truck santa clause left a TRF416 . Building the new car won't be as quick as usual since I'll be busy for the next week, though. I'm also probably going to refer back here to you guys for tips. Thanks for what you've already provided!

I see you received the motor

With the TC Spec you should adjust the timing on the motor so the "ii" marking is towards the C motor tab.

I take by adjusting the endbell in that way, it's retarding the timing slightly? Any thoughts on what profile to use? was thinking 4.

Yes you're retarding the timing since the LRP speedo has quite a lot of timing built in. 4 should be good, although I have not run the TC Spec for quite some time now.

I'm having trouble getting enough droop in my car.

I'm using 5mm ride heighth and want 3mm droop.
I also and 1* anti squat and 1* anti dive.

I have sorex 36 on yokomo rims.

What is the strok on the shock supposed to be?

When you say 3mm, I guess you mean 3mm over ride hight?

You've probably got your shockends wound in too far, try unwinding them enough so that you have shocks lengths of about 61.5-62mm (from tip to bottom)

what's the silver suspension block in the front-rear of your car Ed?

Also a related question, if I want to use a 415 block in this position do I just add another 2mm of spacers? I measured the 416 and 415 blocks and that seems to be the only difference
