Brakes GM 120

can get the high speed to feel good but not the low speed

how do I get both to work as I want using the pc software?

mode 3
brake min 80%
brake max 80%

had to trim ATL on Futaba 4PK to 18% to get the high speed to work

motors the latest GM 6.5 in a Durango DEX410 1/10th off-road buggy

I set initial brake to 40 and softbrake to the lowest value (all the way to the right) and leave brake min/max and fullbrake all on 100% I haven't changed the ATL as it seems to be enough brakes.

Hey all,

Quick question, looking at leaving the fan off of my gm120 as

A my car is over weight
B I cant fit the speed controller where I want with the fan on

to help balance it out

I was just wondering if anyone has run theres with no fan and how it worked out (overheat etc)

Cheers

James

I use gm50 on 10.5T/Lipo 2S with on-road ae tc5 for racing,
or 9.5T/Life 2S 6.6V and there is no thermal issue

So gm120 should work fine in on-road for spec/pro stock racing without fan,
just tape it to chassis on two small strip 5mm width and leave some space
for air

Somebody please correct me if I am incorrect, but, as I understand it, if you have 7.2 version, then 'Program number' on tab 2 is actually high speed brake feel. The higher the number the softer the high speed brake. So you should be able to set your brake as normal for low speed then adjust high speed to suit your preference.

Default Bent Sensor Plug

I have a bent sensor plug on my gm120, happened last night when I was fiddling with it on the pc and testing settings, it is the pin which is on the far right which is bent, and it looks very bent, tried using a small allan key driver to bend it back in place but can't do it using this, can anyone recommend a better tool to use, i was thinking of using a very fine sewing pin?

Mark, i bent a pin when i started using the GM, and CAREFULLY bent it back using a small tweezers. you don't want to bend it and break it though obviously !

GM Genius 80R Race (7157)

Martin can you help?

I have a few simple questions please:-

Is it possible to get a firmware or software upgrade for this ESC?

Can i use the USB cable (GM7168.6 Genius USB Interface Cable) to setup the 80r ESC? (If i cannot use the USB lead then do i get any extra benefit from the programing box 7152 over using the TX to setup the ESC???

I also noticed on the GM website this:-

Programmierung 7154 und 7157
HOT!

I take it is saying that the instructions are incorrect and to select sensored if you wish to use sensorless and vice versa???
