I couldnt see a thread about the GM range (apologies if there is one - delete the thread and point me in the right direction).

What is the current speedo for TC's in the Genius range? Is it a case of the higher the model the better it is eg the Genius 100 is better than the Genius 95?

What are peoples experiences on the GM range - good or bad?

I think the genius 95 is the top one...according to the paper work i got with my motor.

is it anygood....sounds like a wailing bainshee in my car....

just hope my thumbs can keep up with it

well dont buy it, i have allready broken 3 GM motors. And the speedcontrol is a pain to work on without the pc interface.

I agree with the settings on the GM esc's.

But (Wouter).... Did you brake the motors on or off-road?
Onroad no prob's offroad I hear more BL motors breaking quicker!?

Genius 95 have Heat problem ,
so need wait 100 have change this problem .

BL motor OK , but some expensive

I only run offroad. But 1 of the engines was allready broken when i got it. The other 1 lasted only 3 runs, and the last 1 only 2 races. Really good quality stuff.

Since then i run LRP engines, and i must say there great.

RC Market, That's what my sources told me as well. wait till 100.

Still no real motor problems known to me personally. (besides on this thread with Wouters misfortune) Well if shit happens, it happens three times :( !

The speedo isn't the easiest to use without PC, and they have been basically unavailable for a while - although they are becoming available again any time now.

The motors are very good IMHO. Good power - expecially torque with the std rotor. There can be the odd problem with sensors though - i have had a couple fail. However, there are 2 fix's for this. Firstly i understand that it is often the solder joints that break down, in which case they can be repaired. The sensor board should also be available as a spare part as well. Bear in mind that these components are exactly the same as Orion and Speed Passion, so they all suffer this slight problem.

I understand that Chris Grainger from the UK runs these Speed controllers, from the results I see the speedo seems to work well. Maybe some from UK could shed more light on what he is running 100 or 95 and any temperature issues?

Chris uses the genius 95 speedo, he runs the optional (i think) heatsink that goes ontop of the speedo. He has had no heat issues with it, even at the Euros where it was very very hot. However on the advice of Ralf (GM) he did fit a 25mm fan to the top of it just to bring the temps down at the euros. I was exceptionally hot there and he does not use the fan in the UK.

If use 95 need add heatsink or Fan cool down esc temp !

The genius 100 is probably out by now, I've got the 95 and I have to run a heat sink on it, I've just glued an old processer heatsink to it and it runs 40 degrees C cooler. It is tricky to set up but once you've got the hang of it it's ok. The only problem is the price.

According to the GM forum the Genius 100 should be out in September. Regarding programming since some time there is a new handheld programmer unit what makes programming much easier. Seems even better than the PC interface.

It's actually pretty easy to set-up the speedo without PC, just
read the manual, and try it out some times, when You get the
hang of it, its simple.
A lot of super good and usefull features

A tip: Try the ABS braking - it works really amazing!

The new genuis 95 is based on the design of the 100 and 80 which runs cooler than the old one and has newer braking software. It is not hard to setup once you know how it works, it runs sensored and sensorless so what more could you want?
