Assuming its a new GM v2 90 or 120 ESC then to do the firmware you would need...

GM 7168.6 Genius USB Interface cable, and GM-Genius Firmware Upgrader V1.03 software from the Downloads section on the GM website.

Hope this helps.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for previous replies. I have sent my Gen1 Speedo off to GM for V8 Upgrade. Can you please tell me what software I need to download to run it (Using 1.3.6 at the moment) It would be great if you could post web link.

Thanks

a little look at what is soon to be available.

supersmall and very nice speedo. It will do up to 10.5/9.5T on 2s lipo so it's unfortunately not suited for modified, but perfect for Stock racing!

It's got the same performance 120/90 got and is user updateable etc.

Hi Martin,

Liking the look of the new 75, any idea when its due out?

I was wondering on the new 120 v2... I know it has been mentioned that the gearing does not really matter now... but... What would you recommend for something like this.. Does the speedo just look after the rest?

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ie=UTF...&t=h&z=19&om=1

60 meter main straight and medium tight infield....

Ive not run the new GM yet, but we are saying run mode 9 and just enable resevered 4 for auto switchover.

Many Thanks...

Martin,
I have a Evo 3 delta 7t and I wonder if you can give me some gearing tips. I race indoor carpet, rubber tires and lipo. Track 11s laps. ESC: LRP SXX

Maybe fdr around 9?

Thanks!

See post 1304 for gearing help!

I would say start at 5.5 and work from there.

The 75 is about the same pricewise as the gen90 is.

It's not half the size of a 120/90 but it's a few millimeters shorter

for 60 meters straightaway go for 4 - 4.5 gearing. 5.5 would be absolutely undergeared

and just use mode9

/QUOTE]

Im going give 4.5 FDR a try at West London this weekend (5.5 was fast!!)

Martin, i assume the GM has a larger sweet spot as far as the gearing goes?

I see you mentioned earlier it only slightly affecting temps from say 6 to 5 FDR.

as I know west london you will be aiming for a 4.7 gearing.

if the motor is not yet too hot and the feeling is good (that's the most important point) you can try 4.5 - 4.2
