I can tell you RC America is regularly sold out of kits, I would say they are selling well.

Doesn't matter how much something costs, if it wins races people will buy it. There were always be people like yourself whining about the cost, but luckily that only represents like .3% of the buyers out there.

I can confirm this. We sell a good number of these. Our T2'008 orders are a little different though. Customers usually buy several at one time. I think it is a group of friends that place one order.

We raised our prices when RC America/XRAY announced the price increase. We're thinking about dropping our price on the T2'008 like we did on the 808 and XT8. It has been about 2 months and other online dealers have not raised their prices. The reason I say that is because the T2'008 has MAP pricing and all US XRAY dealers are supposed to advertise the same price ($530). RC America is not enforcing it yet. So if you're thinking about getting a T2'008, buy low now.

There is minimum advertised price but there doesn't appear to be a minimum selling price. Most of the on-line stores use OS Commerce for their shipping cart and there are plenty of contributions people have done that will allow you to display the MAP price and then when you add it to your shopping cart is shows a lower selling price.

Yokomo just won the last big rubber tire race in Japan so everyone should go out and buy them now and sell their current car.

That's correct. You can advertise one price and sell for whatever. Kraig, when did you close down your online store? Why?

Another thing most people forget to think about when accusing Xray or any European company of products being over priced. I can tell you for a fact the Xray price increases over the past year have been directly related to the falling value of the US dollar compared specifically to the Euro.

Xray isn't getting greedy all the sudden, they are pricing and producing parts and kits at the same price level. The issue is when these parts are purchased and brought into the US, the US dollar is buying us less then before.

I like Xray cars. The 007 is the predecessor to the 008. I like to race.

It's easier to blame xray or whoever else than to try and understand that.

Afternoon guys,

I currently run a Yokomo SD, so why am I here... Well im currently looking at getting a 008.

I have a couple of questions.

I run a trakpower 4900, with the PDZ plate underneath. Will this slot into the 008 with no issues?

Also this has previously been asked before.. Before I part with my hard earned cash, is there a new car\edition on the horizon that I should wait for...? I know the worlds are next month and would hate to find ive bought a car that is out of date before ive built it... There is no info on the Xray website(forum), but rumor has it, that this is the time of year that new editions are unveiled.

Many Thanks

No new car this year or next we will be running the 008 for a while this is because the way the market is and that we are happy with this car there will only be hop up parts like the light weight stuff etc...Not sure on the tray the company you got it from might be better to tell you....Later Drew

The Trakpower 4900 will fit without the tray. To use the tray you will need a pack that is less than 22mm tall....like the Trackpower 3200 or SMC 4000...which are both 20.5mm tall.
