I am no expert on things electrical, however looking at the various manufacturers web sites, as far as I can see the 3,100 you are quoting is the RPM/Volt (Kv). The standard looks to be derived by measurement at 7.2volts over a set period of time.
This would see your motor’s nominal upper rev level at around 22,000.
Looking at the LRP site, their 13.5 motors are stated to rev at around 22,000, which is consistent with this calculation.

My lipos start at a slightly higher voltage (8.4v as each cell is measured at 4.20v when fully charged), should I then multiply with 8.4?
Or is 7.2 a middle value right between 8.4 (full charge) and 6.0 (cut off) for lipos?
Appreciate the info BTW ;-)
Edit:
If so I could make this toy car go faster than my old Skoda using a 3cell lipo ;-)

Previously mentioned about mods to the 008, finally finished it, pic's later
Basically it's got...
Exotek Lower Deck
Tried one of these 18mths ago, this one just seems better, more consistant
Polished bulkheads
Nice & bright
Schumacher Ceramics
Soooo much smoother (& cheaper)
T3 Diff
Gear diff coming
EGR-Mart Alloy centre pulleys
Look great & don't seem to ad extra wear to belts
Titanium Turnbuckles
Just to match the polished bulkheads
H1 - H2 Links on front
Have spare L1 - L2's if needed
L1 - L2's Links on rear
Have spare H1 - H2's if needed
1.2mm EGR-Mart Front sway bar
Cheaper than Xray & just as good
1.1mm Xray Rear sway bar
Couldn't get an EGR-Mart one
T3 Aerial mount
Save weight everywhere!
TRF Shocks with Xray Alloy lower spring plates
Bling
Associated Top Shock mounts (p/n 31250)
Spaced f & r shocks outward about 5mm
6 Deg C Hubs
It's what I prefer
These mods were done to another 08 with standard deck, it had no trouble keeping up with later model cars in club days, mainly 21.5 & stock. It was particularly good at turning in underneath most others. Only tried this car today & it seems quite good
All up it cost $140 to build including lower deck, using an existing 08 & spares I already had on hand.
A worthwhile exercise & for most users, I'd imagine it would negate the need to update to a later car if you were on a budget

carpet help
Can someone give me advice on carpet set up running rubber tires, the rear of my car is loose and washes out when I go into a turn and get off throotle. I am running mostly a stock 008 set up.

Just a little update.
If you decide to go for a 38/20 pulley set, you will need larger belts than the ones that came with the car.
You need 513mm at the front and 189mm at the back.
For me though, I actually have enough speed right now with the 68T spur and the 32T pinion I'm running right now. Still just aiming for keeping the car on the track, just map I don't have to go get it out of the grass and bushes every two minutes.
I'm still gonna swap the pulleys when I get the new belts though, cause that keeps the front belt clear of the pinion set screw.

Sorry to bring back a old thread. Does any one use US foam chassis for usgt & rubber tire
Would I use just the carpet setup for rubber tires
Any other info /tips on setting up
Oo8 would be great.
