I never switched to the RS springs, despite some people swearing to them. I did go with some of the stiffer 1.4mm springs, like 5.0 and 5.25 to get the car a little more twitchy how I like it. I dont think Steve Wang or Dave Berger use the RS springs either.

We are working on a spool for the R2/R3, all the drawings are done, just waiting for the best quotes right now from the manufactures.

Me and Berger are still running Alex Springs. Whe Ling tested them on an engineering grade spring dyno, the Alex spring were the most consistent I believe. Maybe it has to do with the fact that they are not color coated

Steve thats my only delema with the R2 springs no color. I dont know whats what. I have a gang of unopened sets in my box but dont know what they are. I just want to know whats equivelent to yoks orange and yellows and Reyspeeds red and white since thats what everyone is using. or even what is softest to hardest.

It's really easy to sort the springs out, just measure the thickness of the spring, 1.4 or 1.5mm, and count the # of coils. A 1.4x5.25 will have the 1.4mm steel with 5 1/4 coils. It will be stiffer than a 1.4mmx6.25 because the coils are spread apart more.

Looks good! Steve, do you have any tips on building the shocks properly? I can never seem to get the rebound i want out of the stock r2 shocks.

i am not sure wether i shoud try the rs springs. alex springs from 1.4 x 6.00 - 1.4 x 5.00 work really well on asphalt or carpet with rubber tires. the rayspeed red and whit seem to be a little stiffer..

I finally raced my Barracuda R2 Xennon stage 3 lastnite and I'm very surprise how this R2 can handling very well on carpet race..
I'm glad that I got my Alex racing Car.....Thank you for your support Steve the Speedtech
