I went with square axles all around, but used yokomo aluminum bones in back, and titanium from square in the front.

I use the Tobee Craft hardened front and rear stub axles with the Yok kit steel dog-bones. This combo is heavy, but durable and inexpensive A full Square ti axle upgrade is over $100!!!

I thought about the Tobee axles, but figured since I was going aftermarket, might as well save weight also. How do you like the hardened axles though, had any problems?

Over $100... wow. Did you guys actually need these parts or did you buy/replace them because you can? Just curious, not throwing any stones or pointing fingers.


Was there a noticable improvement of performance?

I replaced them because I can... I havent run the car yet, but when I do, I'm going to throw in a hot modified, so I dont want to have any problems with the drivetrain not holding up to the power.

since 150 packs i didn't have any problem with the stock axle.
I broke a lot of front bones (Tobee+ stock) but then i switched to Square Ti's and everything is ok now (i kept the tobee bones in the back)
for "hot" modified I would also recommend the Suzuki's drive cups

I do have the Tobee drive cups and, square titanium input shafts as well, the drivetrain should be bulletproof... Now I am just waiting for the new chassis to become avalible

i couldn't concur with you even more. i just got the rayspeed conversion, rayspeed bladders, pistons, o rings, suzuki drive cups and steering blocks. not sure if i'll brake any track records, but i replaced them because can.

lol, there's really no need to buy any hopups at all, but they do make the car stronger, and lighter by adding them. Everyone that buys any hopup buys it because they can...

No, there's a new chassis that should be avalible fairly soon.
