Here's my standard setup for the SD with Atheena shock towers. The car is real easy to drive and with real good corner speed. The car is working a lot better now then it did with a close-to-standard setup, even though that felt pretty good as well.

I dunno about that...prices are similar to here and overseas. Shipping is DEFINITELY not cheap.

If you are looking at R10's prices, they are not cheap. In Tokyo, there are about 4-5 shops in a 1-mile radius that have really good prices. I was there last month and I found the black CF chassis plate for the SD for ~$50. Most of the stores have about $2-$3 discount off the list price and they are well stocked. I thought I found R/C nirvana!

Interesting set up. If you notice the 4 set up sheets for the SD in the CML page are all pretty similar. 3 different drivers, plenty of different circuits, yet always pretty much the same set up.

I am presently running a very similar set up myself and it seems to handle OK.

What did amaze me about yours is your gearing. Was that for a particularly small circuit? Again most seem to be running between 5.8 and 6.0 with 12 turn motors. I have been burning armatures with 5.8 and our present hot temperatures, but 6.2 has sorted the problem, and I hope to go up a bit again.

I am up to my eyeballs at present trying to get everything sorted for our trip to UK. Remember it's not only my own 2 SDs I have to think about, but also my son's TC3s. We are doing the KO Gp at West London on Sunday week, then the Snetterton National the following weekend.

Should be fun. Are you going to Austria for the Euros this weekend?

johnbull: Yes it is a small track, 150m, built on a 30x25m area so that's the reason for the gearing. On bigger tracks I do run around 5.8-6.0. Good luck in England. Nope, no Euros for me. Practice actually starts today down in Austria. Seems no one wanted to send me any tickets! Hopefully next year in Sweden though.

STLNLST: Long time! How are you? Still running the Losi? Pretty ok here, was looking to spend the day testing more with the SD today but so far it's raining, does not look good. Have the Nordic (Scandinavian) Championships here in 2 weeks time so I gotta try to get my driving up to standard...

I have a Yokomo MR4TC SD and was wondering if the GT4 wide bumper will fit it without little or no mod to the screw locations I know I have to cut the ends off to have it fit inside the body

Teeth will be the same, it's just a slightly different material.

I used the GT4 bumper on mine..it's wider to protect the front arms and hubs. you'll have to cut a little of the front foam off to fit and drill new holes....

People have also bought the Buds TC3 wide bumper and made that work... Just an idea.

Zombies - If you are looking for a front bumper, get the HPI uncut bumper. The foam is much softer so it wont take off paint, and it's big
