I've just finished building mine and I'm gonna have to take it apart again to file the battery slots, as I can't get batteries into it either, dammit. I'm sure I read somewhere that the slots were 'pre-filed'...

"Pre-angled" for sure; but, they do need a minor amount of filing too.

Just picked up a Phi to try carpet again. Car looks way too nice for a newb like me to be hitting pipes with!

For some reason I can't open any setups from Corally's site, would someone be willing to email me a couple different carpet and pavement setups? Pm me and I'll provide my email address.

Look at Josh H's setups under posts 1845 and 1846 on this thread.

His Nats setup was same as novak with 2 changes

55wt front oil
no shim under front blocks

Thanks Still Bill! I did a brief search before and came up with nothing.

Another request, does anyone have a spare Phi manual they don't need? Perhaps someone running for Corally? I've received a used car and absolutely dumbfounded when looking at it, a manual would help with the adjustments.

Thanks again!

But I cant' download anything off the site, ( wrote that in my other post).

Also, I see in Josh H's setups, he' running a oneway , why? I thought that it was standard practice to run a diff on carpet. Is it because of the brushless?

Rebound is at 75% , what does that number represent?

Check your internet security settings because you should be able to download them to your computer.

Josh does run a one-way for this 13.5/10.5 brushless setups. Maybe you need to elaborate on what motor you intend to run.

75% rebound is the amount the shock shaft rebounds on its own (without spring installed) after you press it all the way in. You play with the amount of shock oil and/or bladder, o-rings, etc. until you achieve the desired rebound. Higher rebound makes the car more lively while lesser amounts do the opposite.

You will learn a lot by reading through this entire thread. Just skim it until you find something interesting. You will quickly determine who to listen to.

I'll be running a TC spec Sphere and 13.5 Vortex bl.

Now the rebound makes sense, I'll have to check these shocks to see where they're at.

Yeah, I've got some reading to do before I venture out onto the rug

Usually we tend to save diffs for foam tire on carpet.

For everything else, it;s usually a choice between a one way and a spool. I personal always used to like one ways, but since I have learned that they may be fast in qualifying, but it will get hairy in the mains. You'll be dealing with more traffic and you can't use the brakes or anything.

The spool is typically faster than a diff on rubber tires, and it still allows you to use the brakes if need be. A really tight diff up front can be good too

Just did a little reading and realized that the Jaco Greens are rubber tires, not foam, which is what I thought they were, which also explains the one-way.

I might try the rubber tire thing this summer, but am mainly looking to run during the winter when there is nothing else to do. And, on a track that has heat.
