I'm thinking a lot of has to do with driving style too... I've got a punchy trigger driving style, and the spx on profile 7 is probably not a good place to be. Maybe i gotta be smoother on the acceleration.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Just do what I was doing today when I was running my 17.5 car with the MuchMore 36's and just drift with the cold tyres, oddly my 10.5 car with Sorex 36's had more grip in the cold. I should've been using 27's today but I had with me were 36's.
Cold tyres + cold track + off camber corners = alot of sliding, which proves to be interesting.

I'm not 100% sure but typically the harder parts in RC are more gray in color and the softer parts are more black. I haven't compared the Associated stuff with each other to know if this holds true for them though.

I believe the hard arms and blocks have a small "H" molded on them where the soft do not.

Non of my hard parts have a H on them... I know the difference by a very simple yet strange way..

I bit the part ... if it's one of the softer parts you should be able to leave a little mark on it, With ym hard parts I can't leave any mark on them

Just make sure they are clean first

Planning in end of november to get a new chassis.

The idea is to get a TC5 again, I used to have one and loved the car, had some issues with it that now with all the info of rctech and some advise of the top guys in my race club I can be competitive.

My idea is to get the R version, but with some mods on it.

- Exotek TC5 kit.
- Bulkheads to mount the motor more to the centre of the car.
- TRF shock kits TA42102.
- Titanium racing spool.
- RPM heavy duty ball ends.
- Ceramic ball diff with JAAD Racing bearing (have used it in my previous car).

If you guys have some other stuff you consider a good option or if there is something I put on the list that you consider useless let me know.

The harder parts seem to have more of a shine to them then the soft pieces at least for the arms and caster blocks.

I just build that exact setup almost. I'm using the Top Racing ceramic thrust bearing though (or will one it arrives) and I'm using different ball ends and the stock spool. My only caution is the Exotek chassis. Fully built with lightweight electronics and no additional weights my car is coming in at 1460g. ROAR experimented with a 1420g weight. If that is the case then the weights for the Exotek chassis are going to need to be made smaller and moved outwards to meet the min weight.
