Well today I just got my TIR layshaft and CVD's in the car, the cvd's are awesome if you do not have them, get them!! They free up the car alot in turns and do not bind up at all at full lock. They are in stock at Titanium Racing they just do not show it on the website, the only drawback was waiting fifteen days to get them.

I run RW 64 pitch spur gears on my TC5 with no problems. They are a bit thinner than the Kimbrough gears so I have not really had any issues with the screws rubbing on the top deck.
hanzo3 : Check and make sure you are using the shorter 4mm screws instead of the 6mm ones. I made this mistake when initially building my car and encountered the same problem.

The JAAD Racing spool is superb! really love that one!
Personally I don't like the slipper spool nor the rubber O rings on the topdeck, and got rid of them.

Sorry! Ha ha.. Not to mention I sold the car with the spool in it and still had spares...
I actually like the slipper spool better. No broken blades this weekend and no play in it like I would get with the JAAD spool over time. I did have to use the old style white Associated t-nut in it with a generous amount of blue loctite. The t-nut that comes with the slipper spool doesnt want to stay tight.

Having some issues finding a t-nut for the rear alloy diffs on my tc5r.
I have a spare plastic outdrive kit but he t-nut that comes with it does not seem to fit very well, the 'wings' are thinner.
Is there a part number for a t-nut to suit the alloy outdrives?

i need to find out where i can purchase an aftermarket spool for my tc5 that does not need to use blades, that is alot freer and loser through turns, durability and longevity is important, and just uses dogbones from the tc5. Please let me know exactly everthing i need to purchase so i don't have to wait weeks for spool parts to arrive. i want to order everthing at once. i know alot of these companies are located over seas. i know alot of u guys have experiences with these aftermarket spools, so help would be appreciated.
i noticed the steel solid axle on the muchmore uk site, does this just use the dogbones from the tc5???
thanks
Luis

I looked on the Jaad site for after market spools, all i saw was tamiya parts?
