Not sure about carpet, but this is a must for asphalt

What chassis would be considered stiffer? The Aluminum flex chassis or the 2mm Hard Carbon chassis?

Hi guys!

I am looking for an efficient alignment tool for the Yokomo BD9.

The only one I found is the Vigor alignment tool but, in my opinion, this tool is not as accurate as the hudy system due to the fact that there is no alignment hole on the yok' bulkheads. This plus the fact that there is a tolerancing on the chassis holes may leading to potential misalignment between front and rear bulkheads.

Does anyone use a different tool than the Vigor one?

Or anyone has used the Vigor version and what were the outcomes in term of front to rear alignment?

Thank you for your help!

Adri

Default +1mm

The +1mm front shock tower is a very pleasing update
Also notice that my anti-roll bar collars are not positioned symmetrically. This is necessary in order to prevent anti-roll bar tweak - it takes some fiddling. I have noticed this issue on most TC's using this style of collars unfortunately.
The Awesomatix BSR "lugs" bumper is awesome

I did the +1mm Tower as well. If I had to describe it "Smoother" For sure a plus with no downside I feel.

I just installed it today. I bought the tower because it allows more up travel, gives you a little more margin for spring preload and doesn't look like a popsicle stick. I honestly hope that I can't notice other handling effects because my BD9 is exactly how I want it right now.

... to be more specific: Right now I can make the car rotate at any point in the corner and it's controllable and correctable. It kind of blows my mind how good it is on my local track. It's so balanced but responds in a friendly manner to aggressive throttle and steering. I'm so happy with this machine. Also it's really durable which has saved a few race nights already.

I ordered mine from rc market, I was leery at first about ordering overseas, but I am happy with them so far and have placed more than a handful of orders through them since. Shipping takes about 10 days for the cheapest shipping option which was only about $6 so I figured just order from there. Get it faster than they get stock in the US anyway. Just a suggestion for anyone looking for the shock tower or any other hard to find part.

I got mine from rcmart - added on to another order when I forgot to add it on to my rcmarket order. Anyway, both rcmart and rcmarket are top notch shops when I need to bypass my LHS (Cedar Creek Hobbies) or my other preferred Canadian shops (GripWorks and Hyper Hobbies).

I'll get mine in less than 10 days and it will be super cheap. I want to test with it before the nationals. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
