no, there is supposed to be a hex on there. The pin should go through the hex to hold it on (if I remember correctly).

don't have a parts list any more - that would be my first place to look, maybe on line.

I've heard if you use the B44 hex you can run B44 rims - the offsets are different from Losi. But I've only read that, I never did it myself.

Check the losi site for a parts list or horizonhobby.com

Haven't broken anything yet, but most seem to agree that you'll need: shock towers, front arms, belts, pullies, front drive yokes if you still run the bones up front, and front caster/steering blocks at least. Adding a front pin brace, "reversed" front arm screws, and some sort of front tower brace seem to go a long way towards beefing up the front end. As for where to buy parts, A-Main, Losi Parts House, and Ebay have everything you'll need.

I added Diggity Designs shock tower braces to my XX4 and they really do a nice job of beefing up the towers. A flip onto the front tower can break one but not with the Diggity brace.

Where did you find their XX4 shock tower braces? I can not find them anywhere on their site. Did you have to special order them?

X Factory is going to start selling a group of CF braces for the X - 5 and XX4 soon under the E-Speed line of parts. These include front and rear shocktower braces, a camberlink brace for the front of the rear tower particularly useful on the X - 5, and a Carbon Fiber steering rack for both cars. The items are currently being shipped to dealers and distributors, and the full announcement/availability on the store will happen within the week. If you look around you might even be able to spot a few previews from those dealers who will have them.

i had a bad landing from a triple one time, and the trinity brace snapped in half... everything else.. bulkhead, arms etc etc was fine.

it had done its job, but didnt survive to tell the story.

ps. you will need to mod the front plastic bulkhead to fit the trinity brace.
