Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

front shock tower is different shape but same geometry. B6.1 shock tower has outer hole removed and added inner hole. Mounting holes remain the same and shock tower protector is not the same

so it's time for me to replace my B6d chassis .... would the B6.1D chassis work? I have my B6D in a laydown transmission setup.

No problem glad you like it. Did you run it with the under battery weight? What motor?
I just tried this set up on my sons B6 and love it. Crazy thing is it quite a bit different than the Evans setup.

No under battery weight,im running a 6.5t.car drove nice, and im kinda new to 2wd but looked like a average driver.might try using -1 toe out in the front next time to wrap around the 180 a lil better, but it could be my driving.

Can anyone post pics of their setup in the steering servo area? Looking to setup my buggy and having issues figuring it out.

Thanks!

Hi guys having trouble finding a 4 gear cover for a b5m, does anyone know if the b6d gear cover or even the motor plate fits a b5m tranny, even if you could check between 3 gear it should mean the 4 gear would also fit.

When running the gear diff with 2 gears, should the other shaft be removed, or should I keep it there?

Hello,

Can I use ASC91760 alloy rear hubs without the ASC91550 hub bearing inserts on my B6D?

Thanks
