Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

First off, you do an excellent job on the first page. Just had to get that out of the way

I was just about to post this below LOL

In case you guys didn't notice it, I've created the Wiki for this thread. Similar to the old '1st page' posts, but now it appears at the top of every page.

Anyone can edit it, but just keep in mind that EVERY edit is recorded and we can see who did it. Abusing it will result in a forum ban.

My suggestion is that if you have a new item you want to post on the Wiki and aren't sure if you should, just post it in the normal part of the thread and ask. If you see a majority in agreement, post it.

These are the white knuckle moments of I.T. That is the free reign of people to edit whatever they see fit. Yippiekaya!

when they released the B5 I ordered a bunch of parts before I had the car. Then they took all the parts offline but i got mine well before the car. I did not use really any of the parts i ordered because the car never broke! A body early would be super cool though! A few days back someone mentioned outdrives were in stock. AE and TLR have done good lately with new releases and parts at the same time. Years ago one would buy a new car and there would be no parts available to fix anything that broke.
