Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

Not as much brass and steel weights as I thought there was going to be! I was beginning to think you need lots of weights to get this to perform. Probably an oversight but the mylaps transponder doesn't seem to fit on this buggy or is mylaps coming out with a new model?

Transponders will mount in anything. They aren't specific to a certain vehicle. You could put one in your pocket and run around the track if you wanted to....as long as it had power it will count your laps.

When exactly did mylaps build a transponder specifically for a brand or model of RC car?

He probably bought it from AE. Transponders show up under B5/m parts listings but not under B6. Easy mistake.

Well the my OG AMBs must be a freak of nature... they have fit in every car/buggy/truck I have ever owned... Heck I lost one once for about 3 months and it showed up in a sweatshirt pocket... fit right in there....

Plenty of videos from this weekend..

I can assure you this car is awesome...
