Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

You should be fine. Plastic quality is much better than the B4.

I plan on double checking how I assembled it. If it looks ok I will post a pic. Thanx.

TBone has bumpers for the B5's, not sure about the 6. Check it out: www.tboneracing.net

Are you using a Savox servo? Some servos need to have the spacers removed, but then the servo mount screws are too long and you need to use a M3x6 instead of M3x8.

I am using Savox but the servo isn't even installed yet. It's the empty ball stud that's hitting.

Take a picture. It should not be doing that at all.

Double checked w manual and everything looks like it's put together correctly. I'm wondering if because I don't have the servo mounted yet, the rack won't even travel as far as in the picture where it's making contact.

No its correct. I put the steering and camber turnbuckles on and it somehow corrected itself. 😳

FYI - you can get these from your local tire shop for pennies practically

What is the weight of the stock plastic bulkhead?

I'm looking for a little more bite in the front, and I'm thinking the brass bulkhead might be too heavy (17.5) and wondering what the weight difference is btwn the stock bulkhead and the Al one.

Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't be able to if you live in California. Those look like the old lead ones I am assuming that's why they are dubbed that name. Luckily I still have some but not as readily available as they once were.

once the turnbuckles are installed and servo mounted up, it will not throw that far. mine just barely touches the top plate with servo link and everything setup. continue the build and see what happens.
