Well

yesterday at the track, bit of a nose heavy dive off a smallish jump but nothing huge and its done a bit of damage. Front hinge pin brace snapped clean in 2, 40mm front screw snapped off and bent out at about 60 degree angle. Hinge pin bent slightly and a small crack in the a arm, front gear box holder all broke up... front gear box holder had to be dremmeled apart to get the diff out. car was feeling awesome until that expensive little jump...

wonder if it was something cumulative in general?

Anyone here compare there electric setup with there nitro setup for the truggies?

A fast driver at the track shot me his setup to look at, curious what things would be similar versus what would be different since its nitro. One big thing is he is using the LRC brace and likes it a lot.

Daaaaang dood !

I beat the snot out of mine (I can't even count how many times is been flipping end-over-end...) and the only thing I have ruined so far is the body (to be expected), and tore the front plastic "bumper/skid-plate" in half. My truggy "takes a lick'n and keeps on tick'n!"

That's a bummer!

Yeah its the first propper break I've had. The things tough as nails but must have been one of those 1 in a million hits.

good job on putting the buggy motor in it. i use the 1900 kv tekin with a 16t and love it. i reccomend putting a 14mm screw in the rear brace where it mounts to the diff. im using the stock setup other than diff fluids (10-15-5) and love it. I run on med sized blown out rough loose tracks.

Yeah, I read just about every page in here and for our track I think the 2050kv motor was a good option. I have a 14t & 15t pinion to try out. It currently has 10/15/7 diff fluids, which I'll try for now. Also, going to limit the current to 50% for starters.

I totally forgot about that 14mm screw...thanks for the reminder!

for me on my maiden voyage as stuff is rediculously loose here, I started with 10-10-5 and really liked it. I actually had the rear sticking almost too much, but i went with max toe over the setup I was using. I'll probalby go back to what the guy had on his setup sheet (3.0 I beleive) as I was close to that on my way down on toe.

Just with the season over no time to test. The 1900Kv Tekin motor though felt excellent in the vehicle. I picked up a Viper 1900kv to compare and if that feels more torquey I may drop that in the truggy and put the Tekin back in the buggy.

Speaking of build tips, etc. what are some of the tips people have that are NOT on the first page?

If we can compile them I am sure Matt will update.

I think this body really needs a sharktooth mouth pain job around the front end and front wheel well. Maybe paint it OD green to look like an A10
