I have the Tekin 2250kv and the 1550kv...I haven't ran my truggy very much, but I can say the 1550kv on 5s did fell better all the way around better then the 2250kv.

I was actually thinking about trying my tekin 1900kv Buggy motor in my Truggy. I don't see why it wouldn't make the Truggy fly, it makes the Buggy fly + some. I'll see if I can't find a little time to try that out in the next couple of days.

Hey guys. What's a good setup on this truggy for a loose/ loamy outdoor track?

Can't seem to find setup sheets, also I got a question. On a setup sheet if it does not have a positive in front of camber are they referring to negative or positive. Thanks

Overpriced.. way over priced. Grab some SMC packs. Id get several HK packs or gens ace before those as well.

Theyre not that great at all. Ive seen a couple and I was far from impressed. They have very overinflated specs.

Well I just ordered mine! What gearing are you running? Any other must haves for these? Where are you running this weekend? I'm right down road from g's but want to start traveling where the fast guys and good turnouts are the days they don't run. Hopefully it picks up there and turnouts are up this year but other than buggy there hasn't been much competition in truggy or sc, judging by last season. I'm really going to push to get a good SC class going and there's usually a handful of truggy. U and Devon should swing down, it's a fun bunch

Yea I'm in the same boat, but with their warrenty service i'm going to end up with an extra Gen 2 and think I can trade up a busted T8 for a Gen 2 truggy T8

So went from a reason not to buy one, to a reason to buy one

Oh and a fyi for anybody looking to buy, I wasn't going to buy until next payday but tower has them set up for easy pay and a 75$ off coupon for truck or 100$ off once I added tires. Payments split up for 3 months no credit check needed only first payment down, ships immediately. Can ya tell I've done that b4 haha

I still struggle with it a little outdoors but I love it.........now the truggy.....holy @#*& it is amazing! Easy to drive and so much fun. I hate to say it but I wish they made a wider eb48 buggy. The fat ladies are a bit easier to drive lol
Yea I had a similar hunch about mugen vs. Tekno buggies, but haven't driven a Mugen. I still do better outdoors than I did with my RC8.2, but I try to be smooth vs. full throttle powerslides around corners so I think the Tekno helps there. I can really tell the difference in tighter slower sections, I can cruise on through turning under people trying to whip their rear ends around and stay lined up.

Found this post while searching to see if my 1256TG would be strong enough for the truggy.

I wanted to add that if your doing spectrum, make sure you have the DSM2 Rx not DSM, otherwise, as I found out in the PNB SCT Amain, your signal can get drowned out when there are lots of other drivers with Pro radio's around. Normal club racing is probably fine, but would not trust DSM1 at big events.
