has anyone tried running a 1700Kv buggy motor on 4S on the ET48?
Also, anyone fit a Castle 1518 motor on the ET48? The motor is 83.5. the Tekin esc is 40mm wide for a grand total of 123.5. On my kit looks like I have 126mm from motor mount to the servo. So it will fit. |

I don't think it will fit without relocating the esc. I think the 1518 is 83mm long, I'll dig one out and lay a tape on it.

Guys I am still debating on a 4s vs 6s setup. Could I get some pros and cons of both the set up below:
4s tekin 2250 vs 6s tekin 1550 People say 6s runs cooler than 4s. I did the math and with the two setup above, the 6s setup has a higher total RPM of the motor ... it was around 34k rpm and the 4s was somewhere in 33k rpm ... Would it still run cooler even if its doing higher rpm? Are there other factors involved that I am not aware off? Im fairly new at this so please do enlighten me! Also, any pros cons that might swap me towards either setups?! |
your Kv selection seems a bit high personally.
6S will run more efficiently so you should see an increase in runtime and less heat. |

Are the final drive ratios close to the same? Where both batteries at around the same level of power at that time. As for the waiting, the Mugen seemed to make a lot of mistakes.

Could somebody who got one of these on Tekno military/veteran discounts PM me on just how much the discount was. They have as $599.99 normal price. Thanks

Do you beat the guy driving the 2200 with ease because you had so much more power or was it a matter of you having much better driving skills plus a superior kit? My guess is both, the ET is an awesome kit plus if Tekno sponsors you, hmm must know how to drive fast, real fast!

The castle 2200 motor is said to run cool with this truggy? I might be mistaken but werent people saying that the 2000kv t8 would run a little hot with this truggy at 15t gearing? Does that mean the castle 2200 runs cooler than the 2000kv t8?? :/ ... isnt tekin supposed to run cooler than castle products? If I am under the wrong impression about the t8 please do let me know, because I am inclined toward buying the 2000kv t8 but if the castle runs cooler than the t8 then Im not sure how I feel about t8 motors anymore.
Scorpion on the previous page said he runs a 2250 kv t8 ... How is that holding up scorpion? Does it run cool or hot or just fine? A little info would be most appreciated! |
