I was thinking for spares
I had previously owned an rc8t
For 2 years never broke anything! Had tons of spares!
Just might go with few necessities

Silly request. Can somebody please measure the distance on the chassis from the rear holes for the center diff mount to the front holes of the rear gearbox (center to center)? Thanks.

Is steel spur really a necessity?

just an opinion... I've had many spurs give out even in ebuggy. I do run the tekno plastic in the ebuggy w/o issue so far but I'm not willing to chance a DNF. It is still pretty quiet.

So are there any options for more normal looking bodies and to get them to fit without big gaps?

The Serpent 811e - T body fits. It's about 1in short, and looks even shorter short because the serpent's truggy shocks are in front of the tower. There is about 1/2 in gap on the sides. Since the Tekno truggy body is out of stock I rocked a loaner Serpent body this weekend. I got tons of compliments after the truggy heats. People couldn't believe how much steering and precision the ET displayed.

I wasn't allowed to take the Serpent stickers off since Joe needs this body for the E-Nats next weekend. So I put masking tape and then a tekno sticker over them before I got to the track lol

But heres what a wolf in sheeps clothing looks like.

Any word on when the stock bodies will be available again?

Truggy was sick today on flippin rails.. fastest vehicle of any class on the the track.. TQ and lead the 20min a-main until my pack dumped at 17.5 minutes in, was actually a full lap over the field with some great drivers. I used 3775mah on my 6s 4000mah pack... doing the math a 6s 4300mah would be just enough pack to make it 20minutes. though 4500 would be ideal for a little buffer. I too walked over the start and had a friend put me down on the grid. This truggy was flat out awesome today though.. super happy w/ it and my setup. BTW running the LRC pills in the rear w/ the lowest position on the FR hinge. Pistons are the Red v-port and I'm not touching them.. EDIT and yes LVC was too conservative :P

Yea I just checked the results from saturday's race and I actually finished 4th out of 8 vs. 5th as I thought. Was running a second faster laptimes all day than I was with the EB48

Length width and higth

I'm trying to buy a Truggy bag and don't have my truggy handy can someone post the dimensions with and with out wheels and with the wing.
tekno site says:
Length= 595 millimeters = 23.4251969 inches
width= 420 millimeters = 16.5354331 inches

Bag Im looking at says it will hold a truggy

anybody running mechanical brakes on their truggy?

turtletrax 04-28-2014 03:19 PM

Still need a few changes to get mine dialed to my style but good for 1st time out. Big thanks to tekno driver Mark Unrath for sharing some setup advice and even letting me take a lap with his ride.

James,

It was great meeting you and racing with you. Fun times this past weekend. Feel free to hit me up with any questions you might have. I'm always happy to help.

Not with Tekno plastic spurs, they're very tough. I've never had one fail yet but I do stay on top of the gear mesh. I was racing Hot Bodies d8 and d8t with Tekno conversions, I used Kyosho plastic 44 and 46t spurs for a long time, never had one fail! Big part of it is stay on top of your gear mesh, if it's right it won't be real loud and the gears will last much longer.

Marc - Take a look a several pages back as I posted my motorama setup. I've made some droop changes but otherwise it's the same setup I'm running now and that others have been using. If you can't find it let me know and I'll post it.
Mark
