I bought a Savox 1271SG (347oz/0.08s) for my ET48 quite a while ago. The Truggy has been in the mail since Jan 13, but seems to be lost :\ I have a MM2 and Castle 1515 2200Kv motor sitting here read to install... I've been reading all kinds of horror stories about how people hate this combo, but it's worked perfectly form me in the past, so hopefully that continues.

This is my first Savox servo, and I read about all the problems between savox servos and Mamba ESCs after I bought it and got all worried. I've tested it in my Rustler and Savage XS so far through the internal BEC of a MMP set to 7V BEC, both using Futaba R603FF receivers. Super quick and strong and zero glitching or browning out yet (no cap)...fingers crossed that performance continues! I have a couple spare CCBEC if need be though :)

I never had a problem with my castle MM2 2200kv, I just know there's systems out there that run cooler, lighter + more powerful. So if your looking to buy something I wouldn't suggest the castle system.

I know the feeling, but at least you are not like me with a nearly completely built truggy staring at you with no servo. I've waiting for it to arrive. I can't even finish putting the right mud guard on and soldering the wires from the ESC to the motor because of the servo due to the routing requirements of the servo. Well, I could, but why bother.

If my BMS-28A fails, I'll likely get the servo you're gonna use.

Since I'm posting... I installed a DE rear skid plate. I know some people say they make your vehicle nose over jumps, but we'll see.

I would think the weight and power of the truggy this would not be an issue with the skid plates. I could be wrong.

I love this truggy. So easy to drive with stock setup. It's a blast. Gonna go do some tuning tonight, mostly some droop adjustments and camber links. I think I sparked some interest locally after they've seen this beast in action

These are the ones I made for my basher EB48 buggy and I put them on the ET48 until I get some made for it. I had no problems with them on either one. The front is made from wear-resistant nylon and the rear's made from delrin resin, same stuff the de and t-bone racing is made from. I going to make the front one smaller, it don't need to be that big. Although it's not like it weighs anything...like a 1/2 oz or something.

No, I had put spacers in there. My new ones I make will be for sure. It will make it a easier to put them on not having to deal with the spacers.

I hope to have a small video of my ET48 on its maiden flight either tonight or tomorrow for all.:batman::spidey:

Just a friendly reminder, the APE SS skid plates I sell will also fit on all of Tekno's cars. They are only 1.2mm thick and harder than the chassis itself, so dragging them is not a problem.

+1. I run them on SCT, EB & NB.

Lots of people run them however it can effect the vehicle the chassis is made flat for a reason if you chassis slap either missing a landing or going up a jump the plate will cause an undesirable effect on the vehicle because it is sticking out farther generally when your chassis hits the ground it actually is kind of helping to keep your car level with skid plates on it will hit that plate first because it sits lower than your chassis that's why if you look on the bottom of any high end Rc vehicle you will never see a bumper mount, screws or any other item sitting lower than the chassis itself I have never run the ape ones but if they are that thin it wouldn't be as bad

boudin4evr 01-23-2014 04:06 PM

+1 the APE skids are strong AND very thin!

+1 I have them on my buggy and they are great.

What tires are most of your running on your ET48's?
