But I rolled it this weekend and scratched the heckout of the rear shock tower. The front was protected by the boddy. Quick question: does anyone make some shock tower guards for this thing? I've been surfing the web but can't find them.

Not that I know of. Dont worry they will hold up just fine. They are some of the strongest shock towers out there.:batman::spidey:

If I may ask why did you bother with traxxas connectors just to go into bullets? Why not just direct run ESC to battery? You wanted to add some resistance?

Just personal preference I guess....Its how I connect all my esc / battery's. Tried and true.

Less is more! Less strain on your batts=longer life spans!

Man what a weekend of racing at the 2014 Ice Breakers at Indy RC World in Garland, TX. I want to send out a big thank you to Brad and Josh Bertrand of Tekno for coming out to the race and competing. A long drive from San Diego. I hope that we made it worth it and cant wait to have you guys back. As for as the Truggy goes I will tell you that there is not a tougher one built. I wrapped it around a steel beam and hung it there and only slightly bent a rear camber rod. I was not the only one to hit the beam but was the only one that did not break. One X-ray shattered and a Losi ripped the front end off, those were just the bad ones. I think that both Brad and Josh were impressed on the durability. I think that we made Tekno proud with the showings that we made with lots of "A" mainers. 186 paid entries a great turnout.:batman::spidey:

I haven't had any problems with mine but there are ways to protect the towers. Ever looked at the front tower guards on a HPI Vorza buggy, they make some plastic guards that could be adapted. If I was concerned about protection I think I would find some real firm foam like what motors are packed in and carefully cut to fit. I honestly don't think you'll find any thing commercially that will work, just some good old ingenuity.
