been building B4's longer them most ..
Also just finish a new B4.2 ...

The quality has never been better IMO...

Seems like all the parts are made to even tighter spec .
The CVA's have never been smoother , the diff comes out smooth as butter .
Arms have no flash and do not bind ...
Top shaft lasts forever & is very quiet....

There's a bit of oil in the spring retainers after a few packs. It's not real bad but more than I've seen from shocks on my other cars.

Hard to say if it is normal without a pic. I have some in my retainers also. Usually caked in dirt. If it is dryish dirt on the oil, I would say normally. If the dirt = oil is shiney and very wet looking, I would say that is too much and check your orings and your build. I have never run the Kyosho or current losi shocks. But the BB weeping looks like every other shock i have ever owned in the last 20 years.

Thanks for the info. I'll just keep an eye on it.

Overall I'm really impressed with the kit. Ran into a couple minor snags (front left a-arm was binding up and the shock caps wouldn't fit on the stand-offs) but nothing 2 minutes with a dremel couldn't fix. It drives great.

I guess it's time to shelf my sloppy .1WC and get a .2 eh? How important is shaving the u brace? I haven't even done it on my .1. I have been racing indoor carpet but about to try out some clay action. I have the c towers for my .1 just never put them in...

And honestly, this is one of the main reasons I am trying a 22. I will be picking one up in a week or two. This time I will actually run it and not just let it sit on my shelf LOL.

But in all seriousness, all I have ever driven since coming back to racing is the 4.1 platform. Would like to try the other cars out there.

So in another month or so, someone is going to get either a banging 4.2 or a banging 22 at a great price....

Has anyone else had issues with the shocks fitting super tight on the shock bushings? I literally had to sand mine down a little to even get the shock on to the bushing. I've built my share of B4 kits and I have never had to do this before. It seems like it what just that the anodizing was a bit think.

Everything is made and packed in China. Designed in the U.S.A. and proudly made in China....

AE kits have so far been very good with no missing parts and good quality but Durango on the other hand is a whole nother story.

How are the tolerances and slop on the aluminum rear hubs? Especially the bearing holes and hinge pin hole?

I'm still pissed about that.

Dude never sent it to me. I sent him my 2nd car, 2nd day air. He claims he sent me his. 3 weeks later (holidays so I cut him some slack) I still didn't have it so I got paid for my car I sent him.

I'm not really looking to call guys out on here, just be careful with who you are dealing with.

After that, my buddy dumped his so I figured why bother looking for another. I've been biding my time looking for an RB6 or 22 and the right 22 fell into my lap. Great deal, I know the guy, and it helps us both out.

Still kinda torqued I never got to try that 210. Oh well. I got enough out of that deal to get BB's for the reg buggy and my truck out of it so I guess it all ended up ok.

Mine were so tight I couldn't get them on. I just took a dremel to the shock cap and carefully reamed it out until everything fit just right.

they really aren't that bad. Truthfully I just usually end up putting new plastics on my car once ever 4/6 weeks and save the old stuff. That's how I built a second car .
