It was a running change to the same part number. Unless it's been sitting on the shelf at your LHS for a long time it should be the new tower. If you have an old tower and a new tower it is obvious that the area where the shocks mount is much thicker.

Quick question guys. Started back into R/C during the early January with my Sc10rs. Anyways, I've gotten some more track time down and wanted to run buggy class. What do you think about the B5 compared to your B 4.2? I'm still wanting the B 4.2 though.

if you already have a b4, just run it. You just getting back into it anyway. if you dont have a car yet, might as well get the b5, and be on the latest platform. I am very sure that many drivers at w3 with be running the b5 soon and can give you setup help. You might want to wait for the b5m for W3, though.

I don't have a buggy yet. Just wanted to get some opinions first before I jump and buy the B 4.2. Does it matter whether you have a midship setup or rear setup in the buggy class?

well, that is the debate...They say RM is more for the beginning driver because its easier too toon, but I recently saw a novice driver get much better with the MM over RM. Since you have been racing for 3 weeks, the RM might be best. Maybe some of the more experienced W3 racers can assist you. but SRS is "supposed" to be a high traction mm style track. if "I" were your, I would get the B5M... but that is me.

for $15 less than a b5, without coupons codes and it is now outdated. your price is about $60 too high. at least.

Didn't know that. I'll have to give it a try. I hope I can switch easy between the mid and rear like they did with the 4.2 on A Main.

Thanks for the offer. I'll let you know if I decide for a used or the new kit. I'd rather build it from the ground up. I made that mistake with the RTR SC10RS, but feel more comfortable after I actually took it apart to overhaul some of the parts.

It is the factory team kit, un-built. You can see my thread in the for sale section.

Right. Are you referring to the upcoming track for Cactus or their current track? The current track is good, but felt a little loose last time I was there. It did grip though overall.

the new indoor track. it supposed to be ready in march. then you will have a couple indoor med/high bite tracks. Personally, for those I would definitely give the b5m a go.
