YAIBA rear hubs

Anyone using these? Want to buy a set of these so I can avoid beating up my rear shocks. As says they are standard C hub configuration. Does that mean I would add washers to achieve A-tower dimensions and if so how many?

Wildcat1971 08-17-2013 06:09 AM

F18, the A height is 2mm higher than the C height....so I would guess 2mm more than what the yaibas come setup with. I would get a TI stub for those hubs with the right length of stud

Haas bought the exotek hubs last year with the vertical studs and they work well. Color is close to the ae blue as well

I've got the Exotek's. They work great and are very similar in design to the Yaiba's. I believe the Yaiba's come with the washers to get to the A/B height.

I think that is a rear t-plate made into a shelf. That is what I currently have

Wildcat1971 08-17-2013 08:05 AM

ok, for those with the yailba and exotek hubs. both hubs come with shims. why? the exotek is a height but comes with 2 shims. the yaiba is c height, but comes with 2 shiims

Do the exoteks start at C hub so that washers can be added?

Bubonic-X 08-17-2013 08:23 AM

I know what I'm doing and I know how to get it to a setup that I want. Again my concern is that there is some other issue, and if there is I want to get that corrected so that the car functions properly.

Well it's obvious to me that you don't because every guy on here does not have the problem you do. without looking at your car. we can only suggest so much. just saying

I am unclear. I "think" C high is with the 2 supplied shims and yes you can add more to get A height.

Manatarms25 08-17-2013 10:40 AM

Has anyone tried the 4th hole on the shock tower for med bite tracks ?

bds81175 08-17-2013 10:41 AM

I've heard both sides of the story on the Exotek's. Some folks have said that they are sold at C height. Others have said that they need a short ball end to equal C height. I've never measured it but I think the latter is the case. I'll measure it up this afternoon. I need to work on the rear end of the truck anyway after blowing a hinge pin out of the hinge pin brace on a really weird jump landing. It was in the main too. What a bummer.
