Same. Bugs me a tad but I forget the second it hits the track. Doesn't bug me enough to file it lol

It's certainly easy enough to try. Any idea how much to increase the droop! Should I start at like 100-118 or do I need to make bigger changes to see the effect?

At least I never saw one................
But if you do have a 4700kv you should have power to run 2 trucks. On a 100' straight I ran a 12 pinion on that motor.

Paul, take note that the only item I didn't list was the motor I've got faith the motor isn't the issue. Need better packs.

Just a thought,I switched from a Pro-4 4600 to a HW 4000kv and the difference is this. With the Tekin 4600 I would drop my EPA down to 132 from 140 to start the day and end up by the main back @140%.With the HW (both with a 14 tooth pinion)I started at 140 and kept dropping it to get the power down proper and get the truck to settle a bit, ended up at 125% and left it there. One very fast motor and stays at 125-130 deg. pack after pack. This is not in a Tekno (yet) ..LOL.. Have not seen the results from JBRL but rumor is that 14 yr old Rudy Rico landed his Tekno truck in the A main and finished 6th??.Cheers!!

Personal preference is to get as much power as I can and when I go to a lower grip outdoor track play with throttle profile and/or current limit.
I find the throttle profile adjustment to be much more effective than expo on the tx.
Have actually been playing with no current limit, high timing and THP at 2 and like it. Smooth if you want it but grab a hand full and your off like a rocket.
No time limit of current. It's 100% if your throttle finger asks for it. Current limit limits you to the value you set it at for a few feet of the initial pull on throttle.

I felt the hobbywing 4000Kv felt a little soft on power for my tastes. I had to go full throttle and turn my punch control almost off to get the power i needed to make a double right after a hairpin. I was geared @ 16t on a medium sized indoor clay track. Motor had awesome top end, just lacked a lot of the punch i'm used to (tenshock 4600). I'm almost positive the reason my motor felt gutless was due to my season-old nanotec packs. I'll have some smc 6500 race specs as soon as they're back in stock. If anything, i bet that's my problem. I will comment on how efficient it was. Only put 2500mah back into my nano's after a 6 min main.

I never measured it, what's the max droop on this truck? If you're at 102/120 I'd try 105/123 and see what it does. It didn't seem like you have to adjust it much to see a difference.

If you have a rough surface and big jumps that's what I'd try. At least it's really quick and easy to do.

Where/how do I measure the droop? Do I just measure from shock mount to shock mount with truck lifted (ie: length of shocks fully extended)? The stock setup of 102-120 seems to be the setting with the droop screws all the way out.

Using a Mac? If so, try a different browser or a Windows machine if you have one.

Forget Windows, just use Firefox instead of Safari.
