How are the composite sun and planetary gears in the gear diffs? Are people having luck with them or going for the aluminum/steel option? They are nice and light with the composite gears and would be awesome as long as they are reliable.

I haven't run mine for long, but I've run it a lot and I've found they're reliable as long as you don't try to run over pipes or force any kind of resistance. Plus, I've made sure they have fresh fluid all the time.

Mine lasted at least 8 months in the rear diff mostly on Astro tracks, before I started getting problems at one particular track, which led me to putting in metal ones for piece of mind.

I did change the fronts to, but hadn't had any problems at that end.

I cant remember the last time that I had to change mine. I did rebuild a racer's diff for him because he had striped them. I believe it had something to do with one of the screws being striped in the diff case. This was allowing the diff gear to separate from the diff case, then those small gears would strip.

Agree, I had the same issue. I wish they had a better solution to that problem.

ran tonight for first time...great love it...only got to race 1 time receiver died and no one else runs airtronics....just changed to progressive springs all around otherwise stock shorty pack.

Keep us updated on the progressive springs I have thought about trying them but several people on here have said they made their buggy feel inconsistent.

Hey everyone, I'm getting ready to start building my 15 and I was just wondering what a good starting setup is. I'm going to run it with a shorty pack. The track surface is a smooth medium traction and its a medium size track.

will do on the springs had them on my 13 v2 helped a lot but i think the new set up on the 15 with the upgrades make this car awesome..had one person looking already..
whish i could have whole race night instead of couple practice laps and first heat..
otherwise stock setup with shorty pack

Which body does everyone prefer performance wise? DMX stock or JC? Also will the '14 bodies fit on the '15?

14 body can be trimmed to fit OK.. Not perfect.

The 15 is wider in the rear, longer and a touch taller.

The middle Diff is now available (in Europe), i think in this week also in the rest of the world!

Toenz, are the spider gears the same as the front and rear diff gears? Would NT1 steel internal gears work, I think Bent said that the centre diff gears were smaller.....
