I run mainly indoor on clay and cars don't get that dirty, still clean and grease after every 10-12 packs through it.

Just picked up one of these buggies, heard some people running 12mm hexes. Seen the traxxas ones and the exotec ones. I like the idea of the exotec ones because they are clamping. For those of you running the exotec ones... Which ones, which buggy are they for?

Exotek makes hexes specifically for the XB4 12mm rear allows you to run any 12mm buggy rear wheel. I got both sets of frt hexes they make so I'm covered when I travel out of town to race. They make the 9.5mm for B44 wheels and 12mm for Kyosho and probably 22-4 front wheels. They are required if you want to run any of the AKA EVO wheels and tires.

Thanks for the reply. My punch is at 1 already but I will try loosening the slipper. I found a few things that might also have been causing me some problems when i went through the car today so hopefully its better.

I had the same problem until I went to losi black front springs, took out the rear spacer under the diff case and 1mm rear sway bar. Also went to softer rear springs but you already have those.

Yes. If running the 2013 like I think ez is. Removing the spacer will help a lot. I may take it out of my 2014 and see. Still tends to not want to rotate as much as I would like. Will try a lighter sway bar as we'll, but don't want to completely remove it. I think more then anything I need to run my typos at least in the rear for better traction then the dirt webs until they come around a bit more.

I am new to the xb4. I noticed on Tyler Vic's setup that he raised all of the inner hinge pin inserts up .5 degrees. What will this do to the stock setup I am running?

Will let you know Tuesday. When I went to his setup I forgot to change the inserts. Car was really good without that particular change. Hopeing it will be even better wit it.

Try setting up your car to a Tyler Vik or Martin Bayer setup. They are both solid setups for low medium traction. Only thing is with the diffs I like running mine at 5f/3r. Both setups have tons of steering and well planted on/off power

From my experience:
-Try 6 deg caster blocks, to reduce on power steering coming out of turns
-Raise rear link to up position
-Add weight to rear, use heavy batteries
-use short wheel base (=rear hubs front position)

Those rear springs are too light for the car IMO. The suspension geometry and car width is way different to AE B44.2, so copying shock springs from it isn't the best way.

Multiply Xray spring rates by 5.71

Although, I feel that Xray springs are stiffer than some other brands regardless of how they are rated.
