but it didnt destroy any teeth nor does make any noise as the composites when they break. its just this scratch on 1 spot around of the pinion i cannot get it... if it needed shimming it would destroy the teeth of the pinion.
I got a new set and i didnt change it yet because it plays just like new. no noise whatsoever.

I shimmed the pinion gear closer to the ring gear (shims behind the pinion/bearing) and it made a huge improvement. I was going through composite ring and pinion gears nearly monthly before I shimmed them.

The B64 body fits but does require trimming in the front and back. If I had it to do again I would stick with the xray body. It looks and fits the best. As mentioned above the JC body is for the older spec and even on my 2015 with shorty it took a lot of trimming.

With the JC XB4 body if you are using a shorty battery with the motor on the left, it shouldn't be a problem. As long as the fan isn't taller than the motor. If you run this body with shorty you will also want to have your motor wires facing the side. It will fit with the wires up but it rubs. I really don't recommend the JC XB4 body.

Looking for a few pointers, I ran my xb4 2017 on turf today, kit setup, and was traction rolling like crazy. I need to stiffen things up. I ordered 1.6 and 2.0 sway bars, also looking for stiffer springs.
I need to use the shorter springs to get to my desired ride height of about 15-16mm. Do they make a stiffer version of the shorter springs yet?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So should I put a shim in between the pinion and bearing F/R on my 16 car? Just to be safe

I just picked up a new XB4 17. It was built by someone else. I'm going to be going through it shortly but I noticed that my front shock collards requires a lot of preload to get 22mm ride height. Are you guys using last long or short shock ends in the front?

Did your buggy come with any other springs? It appears you have the short springs on there. The kit came with a long set and a short set of springs. The short set is for achieving a lower ride height for carpet (15-16mm)
