My only 2 (very minor) gripes about it are:
-Parts are fairly expensive. But its really not that bad because I haven't broken much
-Your track will not have the spares you need. Its just not common enough for most tracks to stock parts. So you will have to have whatever you think may break on hand, or be ok with your race day ending in the event of something breaking.

Those of us in CenTx are truly blessed to have a track with a shop that carries parts we need. When I was asked recently about relocating for a job I said hell no! I love the track I race at too much!
I will add, do not buy too many spares. Maybe just get 1 set of extra front shock shafts. you may break those before the front arms. I sneezed on a very long straight and went nose in 75% throttle right into a wall. No broken arm, but a broken shock shaft. If you want to be real safe get a set of arms all the way around. You are more likely to strip them from carelessly over screwing than breaking from a crash. Maybe also get some extra long ballstuds and put them in the steering links so you don't rip those out. Not a need to have but some extra protection (for any buggy). Other than that don't go buy a whole fleet of spare parts. Every 1st time xray owner ive known, including myself, has a ton of expensive spare parts they never use.

Jae, so far thats been the case for me, I got a couple hundred in spares. Haven't used anything other then a front arm last week but I caught a I beam on the straight...
Anybody used tbone bumper(small)? Planning to buy one just dont know if it will fit xb417. Noticed that the stock bumber accumulate alot of clay and for sure bumper will help lessen impact on the arms when I land wrong nose first
Waiting patiently on my new XB4. Been running my XB2 for a few weeks now, switching from an RB6.
I've purchased spare arms and towers, but, need to look into getting some of these drive pins I see mentioned. Are they the same across both buggies? Just drive the old out and the new in? Could I bother a guy for a part number, as my manual is packed up in the back of my truck at the moment.

I had the '14 for 2 years, and now the '16 for almost 2 years. I only ever broke 1 rear arm on my '14. And 3 front arms on my '16.

To replace the worn pins use only
premium HUDY drive pins #106051.

FYI, I've used mugen pins too and they worked fine...

not blaming hobby shops either, just a shortage that has been going on for months now, affecting even internet shops

Car is great box stock, another nice feature of the xb4.

My car is pretty close to stock, only have the center diff, but most of the time I prefer the slipper still
