Ben I need your help. I want to use the JConcept brand of yellow wheels for AE or TLR chassis as Xray does not offer them currently. What offset hubs will I need front and rear to allow me to use them? I can't seem to find any info in the 800+ pages of XB4 posts. I might be overwhelmed to search. Thank you in advance.

There is some hex info on the 1st page but I'm a little confused as well. I have a bunch of ae rear wheels I would like to use. I also would like to know if xb4 rear wheels are the same offset as ae wheels?

Is there anyway to get brake bias on the xb4 using a slipper like the zx6? I want less front brake.

I haven't weighed mine but I was talking to an AE driver on Saturday and he said that the XB4 is on average about 100g lighter than their B64D.

the AE rear wheel is 1.5mm narrower offset than the Xray rear wheel. if you want to run AE rear, add 1.5mm to each side to get same offset as box stock.

Losi front is same offset as xray front. no mods needed.

for the AE front, i dont know.

not much searching required.. the front page has all this info on it.

If you get the 12mm Hexes listed on 1st page I believe that the Losi 22-4 Fronts and 22 rears work fine and thought also the Kyo wheels too.

From the 1st page.
Most who have gone to the 12mm hexes are using the +0.75mm (#365355) on the front and +1.5mm (#365356) on the rear using standard 12mm rear wheels and TLR 22-4 front wheels which have the same offset as the Xray 12mm front wheels (#369912). Car becomes very stable with this combination
.

The Battery is the easiest way to reduce weight. Every 500 mah equates typically out to 10 grams or so. The other options are to go to the composite parts to replace some of the steel pieces in the drivetrain. My car is right at 1615g's on the scales. Getting the weight down does help the overall performance.

Yes you are right. Are the composite gears strong enough for carpet racing?

I also have an Orion Carbon 110C 3800 mah which is WAY lighter. About 146 g vs 207 g 5000mah. Will this battery have enough punch and/or upset the balance of the car?

Thanks

My local track was a high bite clay, now we are moving to turf so if the composite gears are not strong enough ill let you know...

I have never noticed a lack of punch between a 3000 to 5000 mah battery. The reduction in weight should compensate if there is any. I corner weigh my car to give it the correct balance front to rear and side to side.
