On clay or dirt I don't think they work very well. Even high bite clay and dirt, tracks don't seem to be smooth enough. The track I raced them on would definitely be considered smoother then most tracks, but the ruts that were there upset it more then usually with the suspension being so stiff. Flex I think is necessary in all non-carpet/astro-turf conditions. Maybe lighter shock oil, but the setup I have on it now is so good, would rather not try and chase a setup. We have a team driver here who tried them, didn't like them, tried to tune around them, then just gave up on them.

Spring rub?
I just finished building the shocks on my XB4. The spring rubs against the shock body on both rear shocks. Has anyone else had this issue? It only rubs on the back and not the front. It almost seems as if the rear springs are slightly smaller in diameter.

NorCal is pretty high bite, so you'd probably be better off with the gear diffs, but no, haven't had a chance to run them yet.

I don't have a scale handy to check, but I'd have to guess they're pretty close.
