It's a LOT of parts....so many things are better on the 2.0...and I can feel it when I drive both trucks back-2-back. Shocks, Suspension, Steering, shock towers....

At least the tranny is the about the same....

I just did the whole swap. Cost me $170 bucks on ebay . Only parts I did not get were the body and chassis. And my truck already had 2.0 buggy parts on it. But I think it was worth it. I'm one of the top guys at the local track and the parts made my truck real good. Picked up .5 tenths a lap and TQd and won

Just bought a 22sct RTC.

I know the 2.0 is the hot item, but this RTC just seemed to fit the bill. It will be my son's first real RC. I've been looking around for a clean used roller. But by the time I added up the cost of the roller, plus electronics, it ended up being just as much as the good deal I got on the RTC. Factor in the risks of buying used, the bonus of something new and shiny instead of dull and dirty under the Christmas tree and it just seemed like the thing to do.

So, now I have 689 pages of reading to do.

Hey guys, just going thru my RTC 22 and have a Turnigy brushless servo I'm installing.

Any idea on what shims are to be used since that brand is not listed in the manual?

Hey Guys,

I just did a quick write-up about the new RM Battery Mount (TLR231031) that now comes with the 22SCT 2.0. A great upgrade for any 22 vehicle in RM, check out the details at the link below!

Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm thinking of switching over to mid motor for motorama. In previous years I believe it has been a medium bite type of track. Would you all recommend converting to mid motor? Or keep it rear?

Also, I'm wondering if the MM conversion actually raises the center of gravity because it seems like more weight is higher up. Is this correct? Let me know what you guys think and TIA.

I like MM much better on 2.0...I ran the 1.0 truck both MM and RM. The MM setup truck likes to roll fast through corners with light steering input...but does not like to slide as good as the RM setup...and the RM setup was better for point-n-shoot driving styles.

But...if you MM....I like the TLR rear Tranny brass weight much better than the new hinge-pin squat-block weight. I have both and end up always with the rear weight for medium traction surfaces.

I love my sct 2.0 in mid motor...just trying to figure out gewring to keep up with all the other 17.5 sct's going mid motor i lost punch/corner to corner acceleration. ... but gained smoothness and ease of driving...but on my track i need the power so i might switch back to rear motor and give it anothe try.....in my buggy i wouldnt run any other way though. ..my esc is mounted on battery tray and using short pack all the way rearward if this helpd at all

I noticed the same thing on the punch with a MM setup.......RM did punch harder for me too.

Currently however, I'm running MM in the 2.0 and loving it.

I will be running 2wd mod SCT at motorama, so do you think the punch is not as big a deal because I can just dial more into my ESC?

My club races area an indoor carpet track where I run stock blinky so that might hurt a bit there. I really don't want to go back and forth between RM and MM. I'd like to just pick a setup and stick with it.

ETA: Also, will a 4300 mah shorty pack be enough for a mod sct main?

I run a 4300 shorty for our 10min mains.... No problem. Medium to high traction clay...boosted. 8.5T coming off slightly warm...usually about 25% left in the packs.

Just dial up the power as much as you like....

You have to learn to carry alot more momentum with mm vs rm ....and be very smooth cause its harder to gas it and come back from a mistake with a mm setup.....i feel once i figure out if my d4 17.5 wants more pinion and less timing or less timing more pinion ill like my mm setup even more!
